So born in 1963 or earlier...that's about the minimum age one could remember the Rupp era?
71 years watching for me.I've been listening to/watching the Cats for more than 55 years.
And we know a hell of a lot more about UK sports than he doesSo, I guess the next time a certain radio host says that this message board is full of old people, he's right.
84 and no it isn"t a typo. Started listening to the Cats late 40's on a battery operated radio, and I don't mean a transistor type either.
72 here and can still whip half of you all. Just kidding I feel great. Have been taking care of my Mom for last 8 years. She will be 96 next month & she is the biggest UK fan you have ever seen.

I'm 77 and I have been an avid fan since 1957. I was a freshman in 1958-59 and I remember both Slusher and Pursifal. Ky beat SMU that year after being behind 3 points with 3 seconds to go. [There was no 3 point shot then.] Rupp called a timeout and told Benny Kaufman to drive for a layup and get fouled which he did! Game went to overtime and KY won a game that they should have lost. Great memories!70. Been following the Cats since I was 10. Went to the same school as Bobby Slusher (Lone Jack, I was in 6th grade when he was a senior) and Larry Pursiful was playing at Bell County High.
