Bamba or Knox

I am torn as to which one help us the most. We could certainly use the offense of Knox and Richards may be a step up on defense on the inside. Diallo and Vanderbilt and washington will give us more size in the 3 and 4 over this year's squad if we don't get Knox

I am more concerned with perimeter play for next year's team. If we don't get Bamba I sure hope Humphries comes back.
If I had to chose it would be Bamba but I'm greedy I would love to have both.
Why do people think Bamba is simply only defense...
The kid is very raw on offense at the moment.But I'm sure he would improve through the season.
The gap they'll have in offense won't be as big as people make it out to be...
I don't think the other 4 UK commits would be so openly recruiting and discussing trying to get Bamba and Knox to come play with them at UK if they thought there was no or little chance. Sort of like in high school when a guy doesn't admit he likes a girl unless he thinks there is a chance she likes him back.
We have needed a shot blocker the past 2 seasons. Cal's teams that have shot blockers are his best teams...1996, 2008, 2010, 2012 & 2015 all were great shot blocking teams. This team really wanted to be rim protectors but it seems Wenyen, Bam and Isaac were always a tick late getting over from the weak side to block the shot. In most cases it just caused us to give up an offensive rebound put back.
Unfortunately that's not true. Recruits try to get others to come to their school even if there is no chance. Porter Jr has been trying to get Bamba and Knox to come to mizzu, Duval even said on his interview at half time that the UK kids have been trying to get him to come there. The recruits for each school are trying to get other kids who are already committed to change their mind. This is common and happens every year
As far as wanting Knox or Bamba that's a tough one. Scoring and shooting is going to be a issue especially vs sagging man or zone. Knox will help everyone else with his shooting and Richards is known as a good shot blocker plus all the other bigs should be able to block close to one shot a game. On the other hand Bamba is a elite shot block and has Rudy Gobert type defensive potential and west virgina has shown what you can do with elite defense even when you struggle on offense. I say Bamba

We really need a knock down shooter in this class. As good as Bamba looks on defense, we probably need Knox even more.
