Tennessee - cause they're the best
Louisville - cause they're the worst
Arkansas - I'm alright with Cal.
Same list as me. I’m not as excited as I was about the Arkansas game. I feel like I’ve fully transitioned into the Mark Pope era and don’t care that much about Cal anymore.

Tennessee, and it isn't even close. To me they have been more of a rival than the others over the years. Sure Ark was in early 90's, and UL was in late 80's and 2000's.

Now if you add Duke and/or UNC in the list, those 2 are always at the top of my most hated, most want to beat.

Arkansas——It’s not only about sticking it to Cal although he certainly earned that. I’m not handing a victory to him this year, with what that would mean to his ego…..or handing Pope a loss to Cal at least with what it would mean this year…..under any circumstances. Ever. Not ever. If the price of that in this hypothetical is taking a loss to a fluke strong UT, okay.

UT

Little Brother
has to earn my attention again before I even care either way. Don’t want a loss to them or anyone. But, for example, when we lost to Clemson it sucked but it wasn’t any great triumph of evil Clemson over us. It was just some pissant little upstart school got lucky against us in their home gym with some questionable refereeing. And if we had beaten them I certainly wouldn’t have been celebrating the way I celebrated our Gonzaga win. Little Brother is even less to me than Clemson in both senses until they prove themselves otherwise. And I hope they do because that would be good for the state.

And if we had beat Clemson, guess who would be number one today in the polls…your University of Kentucky Wildcats.

1. Louisville

2. Arkansas

3. Tennessee

We get UT twice, so I’m fine with splitting with them.

TF does that have to do with what I wrote?

(Notwithstanding that it’s untrue. No Clemson loss would have put us #2 behind UT at best.)

D. All of the above. The UT win would be the biggest but a loss to either of the other teams would hurt more. Auburn goes right with UT since they're conference rivals.

Imagine the optics of losing to Calipari at Rupp. I get the SEC and NCAA tournament implications of beating UT, but we have to beat Arkansas no question asked.

Disagreed. Both UK and UT would be undefeated but we would likely get the nod at #1 due to wins over Gonzaga and Duke, whereas Tennessee has wins over good teams in impressive fashion but nothing crazy. Tennessee has 88 SOS, was watching Southeastern 14 today and they were also saying UK would have most likely been number one if they hadn’t lost to Clemson. If you want to be rude, at least try to be accurate AND rude.

👌🏻

Tenn - would be a major resume builder
Ark - have to beat Cal in year 1 of the Pope era
UL - always have to beat those losers

If we could only beat 1 of them, I'd pick U6. I have not, and never will, become apathetic about U6. I want them to lose at everything they do and I want their fans to be miserable forever.

@Bkocats See how I handled this? I’m trying to do better lol.

Normally, it would be EweTee, UofL Arky

This year? EweTee, Arky, UofL

If I have to pick only one this year? Give me Arky. Yeah, losing to UofL would suck ass but man, we own them overall. Losing to EweTee would also suck ass, but they are genuinely good for once.

Losing to Arky and having to listen to Cal ramble how his guys are built for March? No thanks.

You’re right I’m an idiot. Now go back and use your same reasoning to explain why Auburn is ranked behind Tennessee right now with wins over #3 Iowa State and UNC and only one loss which was to Duke in Cameron Indoor. Explain it to me like I’m a booger-eating moron and I just don’t have the mental tools to understand why your argument is anything but childish and wrong unless you explain it very, very, very well.

Hey man, I don’t think you’re a booger eating moron. I just shared a common opinion that I share with others about the polls that’s all. I’m not on this site to attack Kentucky fans or to belittle anyone. I explained my point already and it’s ok if you disagree. My opinion wasn’t ungrounded or detached from reality though which was my point.

Sure but when you say “If you want to be rude, at least try to be accurate AND rude” I really want to know how you think we were ranked below UT in week 5 even though we owned a victory over Duke and UT was still the piddly little weak team that made me saying we wouldn’t jump them without a Clemson loss inaccurate. I’m just sharing my thoughts too and I don’t bear you any ill will. But I like to live in a world of reality and if someone challenges that I don’t see why I can’t make a rebuttal. Especially when this whole little conversation started with a bit of unnecessary passive aggression that definitely didn’t come from me.

Dude, I’m not gonna quote the first two lines of this convo. It’s not a big deal anyway really so I’ll move on from that. As far as why Tennessee was ranked ahead in week 5, that had a whole lot to do with the fact that it does take time to go from preseason 19 to the top. Tennessee was favored above us in the preseason and that usually holds for awhile unless you start losing. The difference for this week would have been the pseudo-road win versus a very respected Gonzaga team and Tennessee wouldn’t have moved down, we would have just leaped them. Is it 100% definitely KNOWN we would have been #1? No. Is it more than likely? I certainly think we would have. So did SE14, largely due to Tennessee schedule strength.

For me, I'll actually go with Arkansas on this list, just for this year. Ideally for reality sake, it should be :

1. Tennessee
1a. Tennessee
Arkansas
Louisville

imho simply because of the seeding implications for THIS team THIS year.

I just would really like to see them ensure beating Arkansas though, this year.

That's an important statement game we wont ever get another chance at again, the FIRST meeting with CCC as ex-coach. We need to ensure victory in that game for sure, especially on home court, if anything other than that reason right there.

After suffering CCC for the past few years, we need to win that game above all else, as a fan, in my book, for this year.

I'm not picking but we will probably split with UT and throttle the other two. That is what I expect to happen.

Ark, UofL, Bama, Tenn for me. Losing to UT sucks but they are #1 so it’s not a bad loss same with Bama. I wanna beat Cal’s head in and show him why we wanted change, I can’t stand losing to that commuter college ever.

This year?…..It’s Arkansas and it’s not even close. We HAVE to smoke Cal’s sorry ass at Rupp - just have to. With how bad they are, I honestly think they’ll be fortunate to go .500 in conference or even make the NCAA tournament. Can’t afford to lose to a middle of the pack SEC team at home.
I’d easily sacrifice a horrid game against little brother and a loss to go 18-30 from three vs Cal and smoke him by 32.
That being said, I think the UL will be a blowout so I’m not really concerned about them.
UT is a title contender and a split with them would be more than acceptable.

dont like these which would you rather have. None.

I want us wo win all games. Always. Never lose a game again.
