According to Scout, Bagley applied for reclassification so he can play this upcoming season. I feel like everyone knew this would happen, but now it's official. Hope we still have a shot at him.

Duke "helped" him in this. All the explanation one needs, IMO.How does that even work? How can you reclassify in the middle of summer when school is out?
I don't think Duke needs to cheat.Duke "helped" him in this. All the explanation one needs, IMO.
I'm just gonna pretend you didn't say/type that.I don't think Duke needs to cheat.
Why? It's lazy for people to say it about us. It's lazy to say it about them.I'm just gonna pretend you didn't say/type that.
I never said cheating, IIRC. Just sayin. Why? It's lazy for people to say it about us. It's lazy to say it about them.
Now, UNC, Mizzou, probably even WKU: that's a different story.
Not really. It's pretty common knowledge that Duke has been guiding him through the reclassification process. I believe that that would fall under the categorization of "helped". What about you?I believe "helped" is a pretty big implication.
So, IYO, UNC has to cheat but Duke doesn't?! Interesting take. Why? It's lazy for people to say it about us. It's lazy to say it about them.

UNC has been proven to have cheated. If you think Duke has to cheat then you must think we do as well. So, IYO, UNC has to cheat but Duke doesn't?! Interesting take.
I'm willing to believe it took some extra doing in Bagley's case since I haven't gotten the sense he had the strongest academic record even when he was on the four year plan. How does that even work? How can you reclassify in the middle of summer when school is out?
Nothing is PROVEN about UNCheat yet, technically. Again, I never said Duke did cheat. But, if you think for a second that Duke doesn't play by different rules, I don't know what to tell you. You think if Enes Kanter went to Duke he would have been ruled ineligible? Let's do a hypothetical here.UNC has been proven to have cheated. I'm not sure about that.If it's not Kentucky, lets hope it's USC. I don't know why, but when a kid starts talking about reclassification, it's usually Duke. I would really hate to see a legit talent like Bagley playing at Duke.
I really hope we get the full details of how a kid with his academic career skips a grade at the end of July.
I'm not saying he's not an intelligent kid, either. I'm saying the adults around him put him in situations where I just don't see any way he can be eligible. I would have expected him to have some issues if he had stayed in 18, but as a 17 recruit is absurd.

It's not like Senior English and Math are important. Maybe he buckled down and comoleteled them this summer juuuuuuuuust in case. Ha.I'm sure it makes you feel all warm and fuzzy as a teacher that a kid can now pick up a high school diploma at the McDonald's drive thru.
Had he gone to Hardee's, he might have been Salutatorian.
I kind of agree with that. They may have rules applied to them differently, perhaps. It is pretty hypocritical of them to take a kid at an 'academic institution' like Duke is who probably has only maybe done the bare minimum, but such is the world of student athletes.Nothing is PROVEN about UNCheat yet, technically. Does Corey Maggette or Lance Thomas ring a bell? Why? It's lazy for people to say it about us. It's lazy to say it about them.
