Not another decommit if the rumors are true. There's more info on the HOB, but I don't know if I'm allowed to bring the rumors over. If true, this ain't good.

Blind guess: one or more rbs/wrs will no longer be with the team next season; for whatever reason. The staff was recruiting too many wrs for someone not to be leaving.

Or academics.
 
No idea if true but some on Twitter saying a bar fight involving Barker and Baker. Both idiots already have been in trouble but a fight with football players involved hardly seems like a huge deal depending on what happened.
 
if true, what knuckleheads. Barker already was popped last semester from the infamous pellet gun shootout/duel. pretty awful judgement and decision-making from a guy who plays the most important position on the field.

I know you prefaced with "if true" but don't you think its fair to wait and see what the bad news even is before calling a player out. Even if true perhaps the so called fight was not even their judgement call, maybe one was sucker punched or someone jumped them, who knows. I think it is best to see what the news is first and then wait for details to emerge before we start hammering on kids for their judgment. It very well might turn out to be deserved criticism but at this point who knows.
 
I've heard bits and pieces of what apparently happened, but I won't speculate on the details. If true however, you have to wonder if this could lead to certain players getting dismissed from the program. I don't care if the players involved are prospective starters or not. As much I want UK to have a winning FB program, I don't want us to be knows as Thug U.
 
allegedly possibly one of our players had one of their eyes severely damaged. oh well, not like a quarterback or wide receiver need those very much....
 
How is it, when we start ripping the program down the road for arrest, this comes out and bites us in the ars????? The joy is not long lived!!!!!

So, you are saying one of OUR players got injured - by who - another player on our team - other team????
 
If it was a fight, I think that the details matter. Who started it and was anyone badly hurt are factors? You are not being a thug if you are defending yourself from some drunk a-hole. However, if you are the drunk a-hole, that is another matter.

If it's a fight, no big deal. Just college kids being drunk college kids. That hardly warrants anyone being a "thug" or "troublemaker". Last year's situation with the air soft gun was stupid but again, hardly anything to worry about. Nothing here with these rumors seem to be anything deserving of a dismissal. I don't condone it, nor should the staff but it's not a be all end all type of situation.
 
Getting into a fight is absolutely NOT an act that should boot you out of school nor off the team. That's absurd.

However, if a player or players attacked someone in a criminal manner, that is completely different.

One of the Louisville sports hosts told a friend that the fight involved Boom, Baker and Barker vs. one or more players from EKU. Take that with a grain of salt since its a UL homer source.

If you get joy out of young adults getting arrested you probably need to get some help.

Never understood why people even poke at Louisville fans or any school for that matter when players get in trouble. Everybody makes some bad decisions in life, nobody is perfect.

Fans represent the school just as much as players.

Rumor I heard was barker and baker in bar fight w eku players at bar in richmond. Baker hit guy over the head w bottle and chargers were pressed...notgood Iif true.

and if the story going around is even close to the truth, Barker & Baker would be packing up their dorms tonight if I were Stoops

Hopefully, this situation has been blown out of proportions.

If baker hit a dude with a bottle, get rid of him. If he got in a fight discipline him. He's too big to hit someone with a bottle, I mean that dude is jacked. There is absolutely no excuse for a bottle as a weapon. And pretty sure they are both 19 anyway. Hope the story isn't as bad as what's leaking. And hopefully the eastern player is fine.
 
UK athlete getting in trouble at Richmond bars is been going on for longer than I can remember.

What kind of bottle? Thought bars got away from bottles years ago.
 
Odd how this gets out w/in 24 hours of it happening, yet UofL nearly had a football player beaten to death by another and a cheerleader dies in a football players room, yet it's not published for several months...

I used to Bartend in Richmond 91-96. Tossed out Pricket for being a drunk ass. Had a talk with Roy Kidd about "fights". Broke up many...many football and baseball player fights. I can't imagine what it would have been like with cell phones and social Media.
This is nothing new on a college campus.
