I can’t put my finger on it. I know I recognize his posting style. He’s one of our long departed nutty brothers from rafters. Back with a shiny new account.
I feel like i recognize the name as one of those obvious shitposters as well.

Just in it for irritation at this point I see. The fan base thinks you are a loon. Accept it.
Troll is obvious…the fact you couldn’t even get majority support on here should be particularly disheartening.

Have fun screaming into the void.

I feel like you guys shouldn't let your lives be so impacted by someone you disagree with on the internet. Particularly anonymous sports forums. It's honestly really depressing to think people live their lives like that.

But honestly, like, whatever you guys need to say to rationalize it yourselves is totally good with me! I support you!

Yet you answered 57 times in one thread because people disagree with you. It's honestly really depressing to think people live their lives like that. But whatever you need to say to rationalize it.

I’m just saying that the state of Louisiana has a plethora of Top tier college football players… players, that will go on to become professionals. They sign, generally , the very best from their state. LSU won three national championships in the last 19 years as long as there is a good head coach. Saban, Miles , Coach O…now Kelly, the majority of their good players stay in state. There are so many of them, some leave to go to Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee, and Texas A&M, which is only about four hours away
You put UT recruiting in the same sentence with bama and uga. You sir are delusional.

Ok let’s try this. I’m gonna reply to say I’m laughing at you along with everyone else and I’m also gonna call you a dummy. Now you’re gonna reply with the cutest little put down you can come up with because you can’t help yourself

Go!

Nah, you need this more than me man! I'll let you "win" this one. 😉

Lol, wait...so you're counting my posts through a 9-page thread, and consider people who reply to others to be depressing, and you don't understand how they live like that and think it needs to be rationalized?

He’s been here a decade…I’d say it’s fair to claim we’ve seen what we can reasonably expect his sustainable success is. Obviously we could have a year where everything goes right and we vault up a level for a season, but he’s not the guy making us into a real yearly contender.

Don’t know why you’re coming at me when I’m pushing back on the people saying “fire him now”.
I just find the questioning of Stoops as the right leader for UK as ridiculous by any reasonable measure. Being a consistent title contender is not a reasonable demand. To suggest a first time coach starting out at a historical laughing stock has achieved all he is capable of after 10 years is silly. I apologize for lumping you in with the time to move on crowd but it had that feel.

Does nil have some impact on things going forward? Yeah. The portal is the change that allows teams to change quickly. I mean the days of saying ‘I’m overcoming history over the next decade’ is just different now. So we better be ready to adjust and move quickly. I do have concerns

stoops did a great job of getting talent better than uk was used to because of his ohio connections. that being said, at this point, he is getting talent but he's also the first uk coach with competitive budgets and facilities. and i say that just to be fair, not because i'm anti stoops in any way.
Your last sentence is what I think gets lost/dismissed by the folks saying we need to keep Stoops because of his success relative to our history. Stoops has been given a much better chance to succeed than anyone at UK in modern history. I’m not saying you can get any coach you want for what we’ll spend, but you can definitely find good coaches.

The question is, will Mitch open up the checkbook for a next level coach, staff, NIL money, football facilities, etc. I don't have the confidence he will and don't think UK would get the step up without it.

The 2022 UC team was good but would have been lucky to finish above .500 in conference play against a SEC schedule. It's a limited sample, but they have never beaten any SEC team in their history not named Kentucky, Vanderbilt, or Mississippi State, and the overall record against UK is pretty terrible.
I disagree with that. UC beat a good Notre Dame team on the road. You don’t think they’d have been .500 in the SEC East? If you have UC our schedule, I would think they would’ve been able to get 5 wins out of USC, Missouri, Vandy, LSU, Florida Tennessee, and Miss State. Their depth is the only argument to make against them doing well in the SEC East, but they certainly had the top end talent to succeed.

I’ll admit I’m not too familiar with how NIL is working so I don’t know. I do know Mitch has opened the checkbook for the staff and facilities throughout Stoops’ tenure. I don’t see why he wouldn’t keep doing it.

It is allegedly the most talented offense, at least it was supposed to be. It's awful. Defense isn't much better.

This doesn't make sense. We've had 10 coaches in the 70 years since Bryant. That's an average of 1 every 7 years. 2 of them retired from here, 1 left for a better job, and 2 were fired for scandals. Might want to learn our history, big guy!
Maybe you ought to check your history book, I can count over a dozen coaches since Bryant off the top of my head.

LOL. mitch opened the checkbook AFTER he ran football into bankruptcy with a full decade of abysmal support, we had to BORROW the money for CSW's NECESSARY improvements, plus pay a $60,000,000 bribe to the stupid academics department. That would have been a Killer if the OTHER football programs hadn't started flooding us with money from THEIR football programs through the TV contracts. And UK's FIVE years in a row without a bowl game and the fan strike didn't contribute a dime to that flood of money.

Don't argue with me, argue with the FACTS.

We are mediocre because our fans accept it. It really is the desire of fans at good programs to move on after it becomes evident the HC isn't getting it done. And Stoops isn't. He has plateaued, and apprears to be regressing. Considering NB just fired Frost, I would assume we will have to wait and see, right? Auburn has had some success over the past decade because they were willing to make changes. You seem to be of this belief we expect a new coach to be immediately successful. I think 2 or 3 seasons is adequate to demonstrate a positive change. Stoops has had 10.

I wish we would go for it! Unfortunately, I am not the dumbass, spineless Mitch Barnhart that can make those moves.

We have won meaningless bowl games that teams with as few as 5 wins can make. That's nothing to brag about. It's essentially like making the CBI tournament.

We have finished in the top15 once. We have never had dominance over a solid program. SC sucked, MO sucked, UL sucked and Vandy sucked. Having to label them as solid to inflate those wins is embarrassing.

You've said yourself we have never been in this position before, particularly with the spending on FB we have done the last decade, the fan support and having a foundation, so why and how would history tell you will we revert with a new coach?
I can’t disagree. Stoops has done good things here, but I’m ready to take a gamble. After yesterday I’d risk a return to mediocrity(?). I just think it’s time for a change. It’s just time for a fresh look.

Stoops is offensively challenged to put it mildly. He handcuffs his OC’s and wants to shorten and grind out W’s. Nothing will change until he is out.

Just have to find the right fit at OC, hire a special teams coach, and hold on to the DC. Mark Stoops is who we need to lead us to where we want to go, so long as he cleans up these issues.
I respect this thought, but it’s like getting the ideal woman; good luck getting your top 3 traits simultaneously.

Louisiana has roughly 3 to 5 times the number of legitimate P5 prospects in a high school class than does Kentucky. In fact, Louisiana may be No. 1 per capita in America in that respect.
Hell, the state of Tennessee does
