Anyone know what this is about? (Jack Pilgrim)

Good recruiting banter turning into KSR hate fest. Par for the course.

I don’t even like KSR but I like talking recruiting.
Every thread here just turns into the same people throwing out the same tired lines and then a few knuckleheads going back and forth for 3 pages insulting each other and completely leaving behind whatever the thread was about. I've been a part of this board for nearly 20 years and it's never sucked worse than it sucks now. I don't envy the mods - they ban the idiots and they pop right back up with new usernames - but it feels like they've pretty much given up and let a couple dozen accounts just completely destroy every single discussion.

Mike are you being serious about not knowing who the Boozer twins are?

Serious, I don't follow recruiting like I used to. Over the last couple years I just started focusing on the most recent class, and how we are filling out our roster. I've only very recently started watching some of the 2024 dudes, and only because of Cyril Somto, with the possibility of a reclass.

I guess I don’t understand why people care. If I’m getting recruiting info, I couldn’t care less who gives it to me, who paid for it, etc….

But to each their own.
I just think it’s funny

Does this not look like Duke recruits?

Richmond going to Canada. Boozer twins leaning UK…..

Is what I’m being told the article says.

Carlos Boozer, the heavily involved father of the twins, bet like 500k on Duke to win the title a couple of years ago and posted a video of it, talking about Duke for life while wearing a Duke shirt. There is no way he’s not sending his kids there.

Realistically does Kentucky have a shot with flagg or the boozer twins
I'm not taking any bait on this one.

I'll say this, Cooper Flagg and Cam Boozer are amazing talents and deserve all the praise they get. Cayden Boozer is very good but getting thrown in with that "Twin" angle--this isn't the Thompson Twins were both are elite--it's one brother being a fantastic player and the other is a nice, very good player.

That said, I don't see Kentucky getting either and I'm fine with latter. '25 is loaded and when you consider that AJ Dybantsa is going to reclassify to '25, he should be #1 priority. Flagg is going to reclass to '24 and end up at Duke or Pro Route. Would be shocked if he went elsewhere but you know Coach Welch did grow up in Portland, Maine....so....(that's a joke btw)

My focus on '25 right now would be: Dybantsa, Peterson, Quaintance, Wilson, Johnson and 2 others-I'd look to load up with guys in '25 as this class is special in terms of talent.

Want to get as many as you can--so reclass guys in '24--yes. Load up on '25 guys and then look for them when they enter Portal afterwards. So smart to have as much contact/relationship building with guys in that class because it's a great one. Much like the '16 one was in CBB--those guys ended up great players for a long time in the sport and well after the top guys went to Draft (Fox/Monk/Bam/Tatum, etc...)
