I actually feel bad for the guy. Coming here was exactly what he needed to do but in this “I gotta have it now” world we live in we never know if it’s the kid or the pressure he gets from handlers, pimps really is what they are. This kid needed a mature father figure to be able to thrive here. I didn’t like what Skal did nor did I care for how Jarred acted while he was here either. I feel like Whitney will look back on his decision sometime in the next decade and realize he made a mistake, not just a basketball mistake but a life mistake that you don’t quit when things don’t go your way. You work harder to make them notice you. Watched the movie “Greater” last night about the kid at Arkansas. My God nobody believed he could do anything but he showed his determination and it only took 1 coach to notice him. Look at the work he put in to go from a joke as a walk-on to a 1st Team All American his senior year. I want every kid that comes to Kentucky to play any sport to leave here as one of the best. It’s not possible I know but that’s what all is want as fans. Hell im still mad Clarence Tillman quit, Tim Stephens, Jay Shidler, Todd May, Jody Thompson but for all those guys we still have a Deron Feldhaus, John Pelphrey, Derek Willis, Dom Hawkins that stayed the course. Hell Chuck Aleksinas, I damn near cried when he left. So I take all of these guys with a grain of salt. They don’t come here to fail.
