    I have memories of a stretch between 1958 and 1978 when UK won zero championships. I don't recall people shouting to fire the coach during that 20 year stretch. The Cal haters here, to quote Bugs Bunny "are a bunch of maroons."

    I have followed UK basketball since 1947 I can't remember a more pathetic team. All coaches have had a bad year or so but this is beyond belief. Most of the other years they didn't have this many top rated players.

    Started listening to UK in late 40's. I remember the 1948 team that was teamed up with the AAU team the Phillips Oilers to play in the '48 olympics. Age wise I am 86.

    I remember Earl Boardman, there was another announcer I believe that was on the Aetna-Ashland network I can't recall the name right now. I think later he became president of Keeneland Race Track.

    If Cawood was a 10, Sullivan was a 9.99.. UK fans have been very lucky over the years with some outstanding pbp men but that list does not include Ralph Hacker.
