Portal Rankings

Looking at 247 their current portal ranking is not a great look for UK. They have the following:

#4 Dane Key
#9 Barion Brown
#21 Keeshawn Silver

Those rankings will change a lot over the next few weeks but as of right now UK and Nebraska are the only schools with 2 guys in the top 10 transferring out and UK is the only school with 3 guys in the top 25.

I know there have been some mixed feelings on here about those guys but that is some serious talent leaving. Granted we were 4-8 this year but still.

Auburn warns of potential ticket price hike ahead of revenue-sharing model

Always passing the buck to someone else vs the schools profits

Auburn athletic director John Cohen is warning fans that the school could raise ticket prices in preparation for a revenue-sharing model in college athletics under the pending $2.8 billion settlement with the NCAA and the nation's biggest conferences.
"Growing revenue opportunities because of additional expenses has become essential for Auburn's sustained success," Cohen wrote in an email sent to season ticket holders Wednesday and reported by on3. He called it "imperative that ticket prices in several seating zones be adjusted due to a new era of NIL," but said that other ticket prices won't change.
The so-called House settlement will be distributed over the next 10 years to players both past and present, leaving schools with the resources able to share as much as $20 million in annual revenue with their athletes.
Those payments and a drop in NCAA revenue to pay damages as part of the settlement are having an effect. Tennessee plans to add a "talent fee" to the price of sports tickets. Arkansas says it will charge 3% more at the concessions stands. Clemson is going to start adding an athletic surcharge to tuition bills.

RIP, Alice Brock

Who is Alice Brock? I'm certain you asked yourself that question before opening this thread. Here's her story.

Alice Brock, inspiration behind Arlo Guthrie's classic "Alice's Restaurant," dies at 83

For those of us over the age of 60 this is a classic Vietnam era song that is a must-listen every Thanksgiving Day.

And for those of you that are under the age of 60, and have never heard (or heard of) this song, here it is. Please set aside 18+ minutes to hear this in it's entirety. Cheers, Alice!

Great basketball story - now lets talk about some football and coaching

Mark Stoops has done nothing but chatter. He has avoided his last radio show of the season and is not being very visible. He needs to lead. He can do it and he could endure himself to his players, his recruits, his coaches and UK fans everywhere. It is very simple. All he has to say is this one thing. "I love Kentucky and I am really pissed off about what has happened to OUR program under my leadership, I want everyone to know that I am committed and I will work my but off to get it fixed!" I want to announce that I will ask for my salary to be reduced and cut in half - as I admit I have done a half ass job recently. I ask that the other half be put in the NIL fund to help our players and our team achieve our goals. I want it to stay this way for the next 2 years. If we don't have a winning record by the end of year two. I will offer my resignation. I love Kentucky and Lexington is my home - I want to be here and watch UK play as long as I am on this earth!

Go Big Blue!
