The guy is hands down the best PG/SG in the portal! Kid is a game changer! We have to land a big time recruit to stop this negativity and to get the train rolling again! ASAP

UK staff heading back to Lexington. Silas’ circle said that the visit “was awesome”. Other quote - “UK is very much involved”.

Said the plan as of now (COULD CHANGE) is for him to take 4-5 visits, and that UK would almost certainly be getting one of those.

Scared at home by Western Kentucky required extra innings to squeak out a win. Offense not as potent as they hoped. Made three pitching changes in the 8th inning to maintain the tie.

Managed just eight hits against the Hilltoppers, and left four runners on base. Freshman pitcher Austin Nye went 5.1 innings with 9Ks (both career highs).

Next up: Away @Florida.

Cats lead 4-2 bottom 3. Gotta have this series. Season teetering on getting away with the schedule ahead.

Man, you're a heck of a player and competitor. I appreciate your effort and battles. You're a Vol, but I respect the game.

Mentioned today on KSR that of the top 15 portal players last year only ONE reached the elite eight and that was Cliff Omenyuri from Alabama. From that same top 15 only two reached the sweet 16, Cliff O, and Johnelle Davis at Arkansas. I think that puts in perspective some of the rankings and what they mean or don’t mean in terms of overall team success.

Now I remember Louisville fans saying "KP moves in silence" lol, but this is different.

Maybe it's best not to put names out there we're chasing. Because just say we didn't put it out there about Magoon and Dent....the optics wouldn't be that we missed. I do think Pope is keeping is close to the vest....I think he's personally seeing who WANTS to be here and who will fit. In this portal, you have guys who want the biggest pay day and he's not going to waste time. There's also guys that are fishy about coming...you have to get a feel.

I think silence speaks volumes. They're going to work. They're not letting it slip who is close to committing. They aren't getting hopes up...because we've seen the mini-meltdowns when one scoop is wrong.

Because remember....last year when the Fueger BOOMS were blasting, they came FAST. Pope is going to move on who he wants. He's too smart for that...and we have money...so it's not like we're going to be outbid unless we flat out don't want to pay.

If by May 1st we don't have answers....well you can yell and worry. But it's April 2nd and there's a lot more portal to happen. Guys still have to go home and talk to family/agents. Coaching carousels are moving for head guys and assistants. Draft deadlines will open spots and people will wait to see if they can get their spot they want.

So we already have Kam Williams, it looks like we are in very good shape with Mgbako and more than lukewarm with Pierre. Probably a long shot, but Yax to KY has also been heating up in discussion. We pull in those 4 guys that's an absolute heck of a class. Only thing needed being a PG. Is it possible Pope trusts Chandler enough to run the PG spot as well as he came on last year? Because if we miraculously end up with Yax, he's an excellent passer and averaged more assists than Amari. So we technically don't need a pure play maker because Pope runs his offense through his big man. Oweh, Chandler, Jasper, etc can all dribble well enough to bring the ball up the floor then let Yax initiate the offense.

In the portal. I wanted him last year to come with pope from BYU. Smart player and good shooter. Would love to add his experience to our young guards. Shouldn’t cost a lot, either.

Was wondering if BBN is doing the typical over-inflation on an incoming recruits skills and consequent expectations. Why was he not in this game?
