Man watching these 2 mac teams ,they are unbelievably well coached. They execute defensively and have a sound scheme both of them especially defense .

Purdue out rebounded them 52 to 27, shot 42 free throws, but they were like 5 for 19 from 3 and had 17 TO’s. Scored 88 points and lost. Edey had 35 and 14 boards. This is what I’d expect from us. But maybe better defense later in year.

Purdue is like some of our recent teams last few years.

People go on about the Pac 12 being weak, but this team has been the s*** all year. Pure fun to watch.

Id be willing to bet UK hasn't had a better assist to turnover ratio v a top 10 team in its history.

That stat is a microcosm of the 6-1 start UK has had.

A team full of freshman five stars and other very talented players playing for each other while valuing each possession.

Cal doesn't get the credit he deserves for this.

Its his greatest coaching ability and a big reason why these guys are probably going on the way.

Will we shoot 80% from 3 next year? Does Perry have as high IQ as Reed and play like him defensively?

That win now looks good on our resume

With Bradshaw returning it will likely move Thiero to the bench. Has UK ever had a better bench, or at the very least better 6/7/8 man than Dilly/Shep/Thiero? It would be hard to top. There might be one who have more total points but I’d bet this group blows away any bench when shooting percentages are taken into account.

I wasn’t even thinking of Burks initially but he’s another very good bench guy that could produce if given time. If Big Z gets cleared I think it would be the top choice. 1996 and 2015 would be the only two to rival this years bench IMO.

I have been vocal about the Bradshaw situation and probably over the top a bit. It is time to let that go
whatever happens in his case happens. I truly hope he plays and plays well because I am a UK fan above
all else as it pertains to sports.

Turning attention to Z and the NCAA and O and his status, I have a question that I believe is worth discussion
Will we have at least 2 7 footers who will play at least 10 games this season? At this point I believe the chances
are about 50/50. I have no agenda in asking the question ,I am just curious as to what other posters think

We have a good team that has the potential to be great if we can add a couple of the players who thus far
are sitting on the bench. Vilify me and this post if you must but I think it is worthy of reasonable discussion

I expect UK to be #8 in the next AP poll but would love to see us at #7

Just wondering if there's actually going to be any more. Feel like we found out about Woodward quick. Don't know why you wouldn't go ahead and start the process unless you're not 100% sure. It was said that Woodward's contract was set to expire, but there's 3 other controversial assistant's with the same expiration date. I'm sure there's a lot going on in the background, but if you're going to be making coaching changes with the portal opening up it seems like the smart decision would be to announce what position coaches are staying or going.

A name I've heard that could very well be in Blue and White next season. RB from North Texas. Has averaged 7+ yards per carry the last two seasons.

His daughter is a freshman at KY on the track team. Sea of Blue has a story up today that says Chad has interest in the KY WR Coaching position.

Cats are up to 2nd, behind only Arizona.

By far the best we’ve modeled at this point in the season in the 6 years I’ve been doing this.

Overall rating is currently 3.37 out of a possible 6 points.

For context, the highest score at the end of the tournament last year was UCONN at 2.75.

In the years I’ve been doing this, I believe I’ve never had more than 3 teams with a 3+ score at the end of the regular season. That was in 2019 with Gonzaga, UVA, and Duke.

Anyway, great start. Let’s keep our foot on the gas.
