OT: Anyone else experiencing lots of lag on RR and Rivals?

Using a MB Pro M1, all current OS and apps. Sometimes typing or clicking links have LONG lag times before characters will enter or clicks will take. Any ideas how to improve this? Same issue whether using Safari or Chrome, and also on my work computer (Windows 11) using Chrome or Edge.

Doesn't seem to happen on my iPhone 13 Pro Max, fwiw.

Thinking Out Loud on Bowl Opt Outs

Saw today that Joe Milton opted out of the bowl game starting the Nico era at UT. I am starting to wonder if these opt outs are more recommendations from the coaches as they want to use the bowl game/practices moving forward to evaluate talent/get film.

I know in our case we have Leary; but if Boley was a true freshman backup this season I wonder if Leary would have “opted out” allowing the staff to focus there attention on Boley.

Thoughts?

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander goes for 30+ again last night

To defeat an excellent Minnesota Timberwolves team.

SGA now has 20 30+ point games this season, 2nd only to Luca Doncic who has 21. At this point SGA has been a superstar for a couple years now so this is no longer a surprise, but I have to admit I continue to be amazed at what a great player he has become. He was a lone bright spot in an otherwise pretty unremarkable Kentucky basketball season, but I can't say I saw this coming from him.

First, the bad:

We didn't play that well tonight. Well enough, but we've been better. Still, only 12 turnovers with 9 steals is pretty efficient.

Wagner just isn't the guy. He can't shoot a jumper and he still misses all his layups from the left side. We're over 25% through the season and I see no real growth on his part. Flame away all you want but I see no rational reason for him to be starting at this point. It's like we're stagnant until Shep and Rob come into the game, and it's like a breath of fresh air.

Now the good:

Dilly is ridiculous. My wife who doesn't even really care for basketball remarked about his agility and athleticism. He can jump out of the gym and he appears to be striking fear in whoever's guarding him. He has the ability to drive a dagger into the opponent's chest at any moment.

Sheppard is just THE most important player on this team. He's the glue, the general, the calming influence, the starter. Yes he makes mistakes - he's a freshman. But he makes this team work.

Mitchell was great tonight. His post moves are getting better and he had as many blocks as Ugo and Aaron combined.

Thiero is starting to hit his threes. That makes us SUPER dangerous.

Edwards looked a little better today. He even pulled back on a breakaway and fired an assist to Reeves.

Reed and Rob still have a lot of growing to do, and they're already excellent players. We have potential to make a run. I'm trying not to get my hopes up just yet, but we are fun to watch.

Anyone see the irony in Sheppard 11 pts and 11 assists at the KFC Yum Center and KFC’s 11 herbs and spices

Plus Reed is from London Ky which is right down the road from Corbin and the original KFC:

Plus Reed’s 11 assists are the most ever for a UK player v U of L!

Plus, if you look closely, the Colonel’s tie looks like an 11.

* Solid day of practice. Despite guys coming off a couple of days off, threw and caught the ball pretty well. Some decent things in the run game. Have to play physical against this Clemson team. Good energy, good start to the week.

* A little extra conditioning today to get back in the groove of things.

* It's been huge to get Ray Davis back for this game. Speaks to his character, passion, how he feels about his teammates in this program. This is an era when a lot of guys don't feel that way. Kentucky has the culture to get guys to come back and play against a team like Clemson.

* Awesome to have a guy like Jacksonville Jaguar Josh Allen and Luke Fortner come in and talk to the team at practice. Two real pros.

* Clemson has some guys who won't be playing, but they still have dudes on defense. Don't overlook that. It's a huge challenge. It's an SEC-caliber defense. Don't want to let them get you in third and long and tee off on you. There are still elite players at all three levels of that defense.

* Clemson will typically put an extra hat in the box to slow down the run game. When they do that it's a MUST to win on the perimeter and make some plays.
