I agree 100%. Happy to move on from the stupidity of identity politics. But that means you can’t pull the race card when we discuss voter ID laws. It also means you’ll have to remove “xenophobe”, “homophobe”, “transphobe, and “racist” from approximately 95% of your response posts.
You sure you can do that? If not, we are back to square one. Non-Identity Politics Issue #1: Where do you currently stand on illegal immigration?
You have stated multiple times in the past that you think we have more than enough space & resources in this country to let everyone/anyone into America…and that anyone who thinks otherwise is an uneducated xenophobic racist. Is that still your position?
Dem NYC mayor (sanctuary city) has changed his stance on this issue for many reasons…not the least of which is crime rates & lack of resources to sustain harboring them. Of course, the border towns have been dealing with both of those issues tenfold for many years. But I guess it’s good that NYC and its Dem mayor have shed some light on the issue in the northeast and nation wide. Is he a xenophobic racist?
So where ya at, kommrade? Still think the border should be free flow? What do you think should happen to illegal immigrants that broke our country’s current federal laws & are already in the country?
Side note: Plenty of “space” in EKY. I’m curious what you think would happen in your neck of the woods if there were a sudden influx of illegal aliens? What would it do to the budgets of the schools? Do you have a bunch of fluent Spanish speaking teachers over there? What would it do to the crime rates? What would it do to the job market? The economy? The healthcare facilities? What if the population in one of those small EKY cities was suddenly doubled by an influx of said illegal immigrants?
