Login to view embedded media Kentucky basketball under Mark Pope is definitely bringing back those wonderful memories of the Rick Pitino days. For those too young to remember what UK basketball was like under Pitino, just watch the 1st half of UK's 1993 Sweet-16 game against a really good 5 seed Wake Forest team then you will see why us older UK fans have such fond memories of the Rick Pitino days. What you witnessed last night was a glimpse of UK basketball under Rick Pitino. Mark Pope has that DNA in his coaching blood.
How many times did we play teams with superior talent under Pitino, and run, run, run, press, trap, foul, body them up, and harass them until you watch their legs give out the last 5 minutes of the game, and then we blow by them and finish strong to win the game.
THAT basketball is what most of us old timers have been clamoring for since the day Pitino left for Boston. Now, it appears that Pope will give it to us once again. I only wish I was 45 again instead of 75. Going to be some fun years for you younger fans if you will hang in there with Mark Pope.
He lives and breathes UK basketball just like the passionate UK fans. Why? Because Mark Pope is a UK fan. And Mark Pope loves UK and BBN more than he loves himself.
Now how refreshing is that?
If he was 6-6 he'd be a first rounder. Have a feeling he'll get enough NIL to be back.
I will watch since I have Netflix but it’s a joke. Scripted outcomes and sparring session.I guess since I got NET Flicks I dont have to PPV?
Also , if Paul truly talked bad about Tyson’s dead child as is being reported, I hope Tyson beats his brains in and teaches him a lesson.
Tyson in 5.
So sorry and prayers for your family. I have no doubt that your father was a fine man. I lost my Mom in July and can't stop thinking about her. Probably never will. For my fellow patriots, my father passed three hours after my above post.
Yesterday was brutal. Lots of tears. But he was a believer and there was comfort in that.
If you still got your parents, hug them a little tighter today and tell them you love them. Life is short and precious.
