Hard to drain the swamp when you're filling it with lizards. 🤡
And Senators ought not vote to confirm Gaetz w/o it being public. No problem.

He was incredible in those hearings over the years he was in Congress. Elite at interrogating a witness. Probably the best i ever saw.

Plus he voluntarily walked away from politics instead of being the lifer he easily could've been. Thats the kind of people you want imo.
I cant get past the hair .. and he smells of old school power broker GOP .. I'm ready for new blood

Is UK the best team in America right now?

Get Cals balls outta your mouth 👍
Thanks for revealing yourself as the troll you truly are. The fact that you would suggest that I am remotely close to being a fan of Cal's clearly shows that you know nothing about this board or those who use it informationally instead of trolling.

So that you know because obviously you don't, I never support Cal even when he was winning because I thought his negative attitude towards the program, fans, and the state was too high a price to pay. From day one, Cal was on a mission to turn the University of Kentucky into Cal university. Cal convinced players to come to Kentucky because of him and not because of the University by the use of his players first crap. So basically, he told the players they were more important that the institution. By the time Cal left, most of his former players' loyalty was to him and not Kentucky. This should never ever happen again no matter who the coach is.

For the Basketball Bennies out there...

Definitely a breath of fresh air.

However, I can only imagine BBNs collective response if the inbounds pass flew over Butler's head and landed out of bounds. Duke would have gotten the ball right underneath their own hoop with 6 sec (or something like that) and only down 2.

Glad it worked out, but that is one of those high risk high, reward plays. No doubt UK has practiced it enough if Pope feels comfortable enough to run it at the end of a big game. But man, not sure if I would have had the stones to call that.
That was an old-school Joe B. Hall inbounds play the 1978 team used to run with Kyle Macy throwing the bomb. Kentucky burned Duke with it in both 1978 and 2025. That is what made it even sweeter.

Joy

I’m not as in tune with the team or schedule as I once was (3 kids under 6). Last night I’m looking at the schedule anticipating a game today, and looking forward to that only to be disappointed we don’t play!

The point being, this behavior for me of actively anticipating watching a nothing game vs a crap opt hasn’t been around for years as I’ve tuned out and mostly followed box scores as I couldn’t stand or enjoy watching cal teams.

Pope has allowed me, and I’m sure most of you, to restore the joy that UK basketball can bring. I haven’t had that joy probably since 2020 range and I am thrilled to once again, feel the joy!

Anyways, Go Cats! Hope you all have a great weekend and I’m looking forward to a special year

Maybe he is. He was a name i mentioned because i can tell hes an excellent prosecutor and knows how to run an office.

Whoever it is, it shouldn't be gaetz. Hes too easy of a target for msm. There could be another choice that can perform at least as well thats much less polarizing and that doesn't take someone out of a district they continue to win.

I know gop will most surely win that seat, but thats now two Florida seats open and neither were great appointments. Definitely not worth opening the seat.
Florida elections are about as cheat-free as it gets. Not to worry.

OT Paul v Iron Mike

I was wrong. I thought Tyson would look better than he did based on all his training videos, and maybe if he had asserted himself more like he did the first round he could have got some meaningful punches in but otherwise I can’t believe I stayed up for that spectacle.

The "training videos" were just part of the promotion game. It's easy to make anyone look impressive in vids designed and edited solely for the purpose of making the public want to watch a fight. Just as it's easy to con people into thinking fighters truly "hate" each other with scripted trash talk and a pre-fight incident (in this case, the "slap"). Promoters have been using these same tactics forever, yet the public still falls for it.

Again, Tyson looked totally washed up in the final part of his legit career decades ago. He'd already lost everything that once made him so so special by his late 30s. So I don't know why anyone would've thought he could somehow miraculously get it back at age 58.
