POLITICAL THREAD

VH is awful. Might be the worst poster here. He spams the board more than Spambowie with the dumbest and most stupid misinformation. It’s like watching diarrhea in real time. His awful posts always encapsulates left wing drivel mixed with a sprinkle of corrupt RINO smugness. Just awful.

Did Kentucky miss open shots as well? Why only focus on Duke missing shots, when Kentucky missed a shit ton of open shots as well. Kentucky made adjustments and executed better, this narrative that Kentucky only won because of Duke missing open shots is getting old. You saw Kentucky beat one of the best teams in the nation and your takeaway from that is Kentucky being over ranked?
I think OP is struggling with accepting that we can finally be good again. We have collective PTSD as a fanbase from the past five years

State of 2025 Recruiting

Although I don't expect the first 2025 commitment for a while, I will go ahead and start this new thread now. I see that we are discussing 2025 prospects on the 2024 thread, so we need a 2025 thread to accommodate the growing volume of 2025 discussions.

Here are instate 2025 prospects already reported to hold UK offers. All four are being recruited by Coach Marrow although Coach Coen has also gotten involved with Boley.

Cutter Boley, QB, LCA, Lexington
Brock Driver, RB, Boyle Co. hs, Danville

Makhi Smith, ATH, Woodford Co. hs, Versailles

Boley is the big headliner here, although Driver is also a nice looking prospect.

Let's not worry yet about whether 2025 will be a strong or weak instate recruiting class. We are nearly two full years away from the 2025 signing dates, so it is just too early to pass judgment.

But as a side note, take a good look at the number of prospects coming out of the Cincinnati area (including W. Chester) on this list. It is not difficult to see why Coach Marrow spends more time recruiting in Cincinnati than in Louisville.

No secret that Liam Cohen will be looking at QBs for this class. So, no coincidence that a lot of QBs are on the above list. Cutter Boley is the local favorite, and Coach Coen will probably make a big run at him. But if you are looking for an out of state QB with major cred who is already showing strong interest in UK, look no farther than Ryan Montgomery out of Findlay, OH. The gossip is that Montgomery and Coen have hit it off. I guess we will see.
Hope you’re doing okay dude .

Big UK Fan But In Spite Of Our Record I’m Not Convinced We Are Top 10 Team, Maybe Not Top 20.

I know that we beat our hated Rivals The PUKE Blue Devils and we have three other gaudy wins against very inferior opposition. It took Puke shooting terribly from 3 point range and UK at a very respectable 40 percent for us to eke out a very close win. Had the shooting percentages been reversed, which they well could be in a future game with Puke, it could equate to a 15-20 point loss for UK the next time we play them.

My concern is that if UK depends solely on hitting a high number of 3’s per game then when we don’t we will lose. Remember the old adage that when we live by the three, we can certainly die by the three when we are not hitting from the outside.

My concern in particular is when we play a team like Tennessee or another team who plays very tight man to man defense, then we will struggle to score from the outside which is our forte. 🙏 Please someone convince me I am wrong and give me reasons to believe UK truly is a top 10-15 team. I just truly believe UK is currently way over ranked, based for the most part on our win over Puke. I truly believe if we played this current Puke team or a team similar in talent UK would lose 8 out of 10 times.

SEC+

Here is how I understand it. If the game is on sec+ not ESPN + you can get it for free. Go to the ESPN app. It will give you a choice to login with a provider . You then list your provider and MUST also list your password for the provider . It will then send you to a screen with various games . Click on it and you will see it IF it is SEC + . Not ESPN + which you do have to pay extra for .

Yes they are trying to scam you but you can get it for free if it is on SEC+ if you are persistent.

I know several posters have made fun of us technically challenged individuals. I am not computer illiterate , I sit in front of two iMacs , and IPad and iPhone each day doing business . I still found it hard to navigate . Good luck
Sounds to me like you literally explained the entire process word for word. Not sure why you’d call that technically challenged. That’s the whole point — the fact that you explained that so well and yet consider yourself technically challenged should be an encouragement to anyone who is intimidated by it. It can be done!

Cal's honeymoon at Arkansas is already over

True! Pitino went to UL when he left the pros for a number of reasons. He knew he could win there, obviously he and his family still had a lot of friends and business interests in the state. But, I always thought that maybe one of the reasons he chose UL, however small that reason may have been, was to get UK fans to totally embrace Tubby as their coach. Tubby being a former Pitino assistant and friend. There's no better way to get BBN to completely despise you and rally around their coach than that. I'm sure that wasn't really a reason, but I like to think it factored in there somewhere.
That is another way to look at it, Pitino didn’t burn bridges on the way out. He had to take the Celtics, he was on top of the world in college basketball and wasn’t satisfied. I often wondered why Louisville but never thought about your explanation. 🤔
