Let’s not forget we were up nine with two minutes left, and they ended up shooting a three that would’ve tied it with under 20 seconds. Don’t try to act like Cal is a genius in late game clock situations. 😂😂😂😂

I’m not dumb enough to think Cal is literally over there drawing up turnovers, but some of that is still coaching because it’s clear we aren’t well practiced in end of game situations. We blew a 10 point lead in less than a minute in Starkville and were one missed jumper from giving away an 11 point lead in a similar span today. You hardly ever see that in a game at all, let alone twice by the same team in the span of a couple of weeks. I’m glad we got the big win, but these last minute meltdowns are unacceptable and will probably cost us in the tournament if we don’t get it fixed.
We just beat a highly ranked rival, on the road. Some will find any reason they can to gripe about Cal.
UK gets a huge win at Tennessee, and yet we still have fans getting into pissing matches. Let's just enjoy the win for once!
Cal’s not the greatest coach but he’s not that bad either, got to give him credit for winning at AU and UT. My big concern that goes back a long time is folding late when the pressure’s on, seems like there’s very little practice time put into that as it’s a recurring issue.
With Cal coaching.......not many. Great win, but damn the end kind of made it a like the Chihuahua dropping a deuce on a new tasty birthday cake.
But, also almost blew it! Can’t be having these mistakes this late in the season. Called prepping a team for the tournament.
In fairness, Reed slipped and threw a few bad passes as he has done all year. Also, the refs were letting UT hack, hold and push in those final seconds. Heck, when Tre got called for a foul earlier in the game UT player was literally grabbing his jersey. It was a typical end of game at UT.
Having said all that, I hope they practice the end of the game all this week.

Calipari either can’t coach very well or thinks it’s good to let the players figure it all out. Either way, trusting him in game is not something I do.
There is no way you blame the coach for a player slipping on a wet floor.
Im not blaming anyone until I watch it back. I know one thing though. Theyll be working on that some the next week.
We have more talent. Nobody questions if Cal is a good salesman. He just sucks as a coach.

I'm far from a Cal fan but Reed slips on there inbound , Reed gets a ball stuck on his hip , Then for some reason on the play Reeves got stuck with a 10 count Rob D was not even in the frontcort , dude must have been hiding somewhere when we really needed another G to handle the ball and relieve some pressure .. hell of a win , cant complain too much about coaching moves .. but we need to end the Mitchell in front of Z player rotation . Nearly bout the same as my hope you would make a positive thread today. We both lost.
Tennessee is a really good defensive team. It is what it is. Glad we held on to win.
Let's also not forget UT is the No. 4 team in the nation playing at home on senior night. So, yeah Cal can coach!
so does his coaching get credit for the 59 minutes before that to put us in a posotion where even several bad plays cant beat us

I think he actually coached a good game today. Problem is he takes too many games off. He seems to coach better and show more fire when he's got his back to the wall. But it shouldn't come to that.
Did cal throw any of the passes ? One of them the guy had Mitchell's jersey 3 different times. Yiu Cal haters just don't quit. It hurts real.

Like I said it seems like he coaches better and with more fire with his back to the wall. Our backs were to the wall.

The one thing I've noticed in these situations is the guard has to dribble through the double team which most likely will draw a foul. But with the refs today one never knows.

Part of the issue is likely that our guys with experience are not our best ballhandlers. But you would think that these situations should lead to improvement going forward.
I feel terrible for those complaining after beating the #4 team in the country on the road. If we win they pick out the 1 negative, if we lose they have a field day. Enjoy the win.
Part of the issue is the expectation and assumptions of a foul call. Teams don't do it much but the best action is to push it down court and try to score. Someone is open for a layup or dunk in these situations when other team is pressuring n back court.
