“NCAA rules prohibit coaches from making direct NIL donations, but Kelly will use a workaround by funneling his donation through the Tiger Athletic Foundation, a booster group that financially supports LSU athletics.”Yet those 3 did
Lots of discussion all over the internet on this topic for the last year but things are changing rapidly“NCAA rules prohibit coaches from making direct NIL donations, but Kelly will use a workaround by funneling his donation through the Tiger Athletic Foundation, a booster group that financially supports LSU athletics.”
UK needs structural/bureaucratic changes to make it the launder work. That doesn’t exist at UK to my knowledge.
Why should he follow any rules? Rules seem to be optional these days.Coaches are prohibited from doing so

Why not? He was strutting around last year yelling at people to "pony up." Maybe he should follow his own advice. No
If he was going to do it, I think he would have already done it. It is not my place to tell someone else how to spend their money, but the poney up comment was made.
Exactly if you thought 4-8 was bad 3-9 is on the way!Just don't panic.
You don't have to follow the rules because you can launder it like all the links above explain, but the structure has to be created to do so. Until that happens, it's an apples-to-oranges comparison. Posters tilting at windmills. I recommend people read the actual articles instead of just the titles. Might get smarter on a new subject! Why should he follow any rules? Fingers crossed.Exactly if you thought 4-8 was bad 3-9 is on the way!
Unfortunately, there is a very vocal portion of the fanbase on this site who agree with CMS.So, no. He apparently thinks his job is to beat Toledo and Ball State every year between trips to the bank.
Why would he do that? He can sit at home and make the same money. Mitch has given a contract that Stoops can do whatever he wants. He should donate about 33% of it. That may add another win or 2. If he wants to keep his job he better. Pony up Mark!
Can't say that or you're a "troll". You should be happy with 4-8 and those 7-5/8-4 seasons and never want anymore because some of our "fans" have predetermined the programs ceiling. To coin a phrase and regretfully so... "We are who we thought we were."
I know some of our fans are happy with 7-5 to 8-4 seasons when we get them and to a certain point, I am too if that because the norm. For it would mean that 10-2 or 11-1 would come from time to time with a shot at a national title. Given UK's history that is not the norm, and until the majority of the fanbase decides it has had enough, things will not change. Much of this mentality imo comes from being a basketball school first school. We for years have had a program that was the door mat of the SEC (with a couple of others) and accepted that, but with updated facilities and some success in the last 8 or so years before this year, we have now tasted a little success and want more. Mark Stoops did a decent job moving the needle but has stalled out and has gone as far as he can. It is time for a change and since we are paying big money for a football coach now, we could get a better coach and players going forward.
I know just saying, other coaches are doing it and he should follow suit. He’s the one with the sinking ship. He should do what he can to turn it around. Why would he do that? He can sit at home and make the same money. Mitch has given a contract that Stoops can do whatever he wants.
Well, I am old and ugly enough to be a troll so...Can't say that or you're a "troll". You should be happy with 4-8 and those 7-5/8-4 seasons and never want anymore because some of our "fans" have predetermined the programs ceiling.
Yes, and I stand behind my point. It is pretty much the wild west now.You don't have to follow the rules because you can launder it like all the links above explain, but the structure has to be created to do so. Until that happens, it's an apples-to-oranges comparison. Posters tilting at windmills. I recommend people read the actual articles instead of just the titles. Might get smarter on a new subject!
This is your second posted thread about Stoops donating his salary to NIL.
THIS. Reality based thoughtful analysis. Don't expect anything to change anytime soon as we suffer the poor decisions of our AD.To coin a phrase and regretfully so... "We are who we thought we were."

It was very clear in the responses to your first posted thread that coaches are not allowed to donate to NIL for their school.
Yet you continue to post your personal crap just to bash and trash Stoops and UK FB.
I hope Stoops is here for 20 more years regardless of his records each season just to piss you off.
It’s against the rules for coaches to do that so no he wont
