Would you obey a mask mandate?

Careful in Ohio. They aren’t wearing masks there and cases are exploding.

governor is considering requiring masks there too. Also, it’s a pandemic. So if it isn’t in South Dakota (because no one goes there) it will be there too. So don’t unpack.

Stay safe, and stay healthy.
The cases in Ohio aren't "exploding". They have increased in part due to increased testing, in part due to the protests and riots, and in part due to the inevitable reopening of the state; but the word "exploding" is sheer hyperbole, which Team Virus is quite prone to engage in. Most of the state is under a mask order and most people here are wearing masks, so I am not sure where "they aren't wearing masks" is coming from. Not everyone is wearing a mask here, but I don't know of any place in the world where everyone wears a mask.

I would love to know the percentage of people in these growing positive test numbers who fall into the following three categories:
- antibody positive
- asymptomatic positive
- assumed positive

The media and some politicians are trying to make it sound like a positive test is an imminent hospitalization, but I’d bet there are a ton in the above categories.

Heres why I say piss off about the mask Nazi-ism

I sure as hell don't remember all of this hullabaloo during Bird Flu, Sars, Mers or H1N1. And that's fatalities....which is frankly all I care about. I don't want anyone getting sick but JFC....it's a part of life. Literally.

Meanwhile....when we just look at infection rates comparitively

Again....what the effing hell are we doing. Enough with the damned insanity.

The super fatal viruses burn themselves out. That's the problem with this one. It's super courageous and just deadly enough. It's the perfect/worst balance.

Two things can be true at once. It's government over reach AND it's a health concern. The fact that it's a health concern is one reason why I feel like it's government over reach. There are plenty of experts who suggest that it's not good for a healthy person to wear a mask all day long. What we have now is one man(the governor) forcing everyone who works for a business to do so.

please provide a link of any credible expert regarding epidemiology saying this in the last 45 days.

No, the worst is a disease like smallpox or the bubonic plague; super contagious and super deadly and able to thrive even after killing host after host.

Don't they have a vaccine for both those?
But I'm sure today if the Black Death was running rampant there would be people that refuse a vaccine and wear masks.
Smallpox would never been eradicated by the vaccinations from the WHO.

I'm not sure if there is a vaccine for the Black Death. It is a bacteria, not a virus.

Oddly enough I've heard of 2 confirmed cases here in the past month or so.

Smallpox has been considered a dead disease since the 80s.

I believe the last know case was in 1976 somewhere in Asia.

I always heard prairie dogs tend to carry the plague.
Seems common antibiotics can knock it out if you treat it early.

Don’t forget, the same incompetent assclown that is telling you you can’t have football if you don’t obey his mask orders is the same incompetent assclown that stopped processing unemployment claims because he couldn’t believe a guy named Tupac lived in KY.

So when he shuts things back down, blame his never ending incompetence, not me.
The assclown doesn't even wear his own mask appropriately anyway. I literally cannot stand him.

I did a little research and the black death has vaccines but they are not used because it can be prevented with good hygiene and antibiotics.

It was widely spread by rats and terrible hygiene back when it wiped out 1/3 of the world population.

The best way to avoid everything is to do like @ManitouDan Lie to everyone then complain when you get caught lying. Then go back to the kids that you claim to coach and the people that work at the business that you claim to own, and explain how lying and then getting mad when your lie is busted is somehow a liberal conspiracy.

What are you talking about ? PS , haven't coached for 2-3 years .

Here are 2 epidemiologists from 3 days ago

Early on the CDC and other experts were saying masks don't help, that later changed as new info came out. Not sure how old this is, we gain info all the time, maybe this interview predated the actually studies that have been done that prove that masks prevent the transmission of the virus:

An experiment using high-speed video found that hundreds of droplets ranging from 20 to 500 micrometers were generated when saying a simple phrase, but that nearly all these droplets were blocked when the mouth was covered by a damp washcloth. Another study of people who had influenza or the common cold found that wearing a surgical mask significantly reduced the amount of these respiratory viruses emitted in droplets and aerosols.

I witnessed a guy today wearing a mask walk into a restroom take a piss and then not wash his hands. I feel like the mask in his case was pointless.o_O

Good evening peeps and sheep. So I see that the COVID nonsense (it’s a real thing but the circus is.....) is continuing. Looks like I will be in the hospital (since July 8) beyond the 30 day mask mandate that your esteemed Governor has (illegitimately) enforced. I've been sick with pneumonia, and kidneys are not doing well. I was tested a week ago and still have not been told my results (probably a negative, but when you're in the hospital, you can catch everything). They are holding off on the big surgery (major abdominal reconstruction thanks to multiple failed hernia surgeries and other issues) until I can get healthier. Until then, I will have this big bulge in my belly, but it's ok as long as it doesn't get strangulated. Still sick as crap and but I can't blame COVID.....at least for now.....Keep up the spirited debates!
