That’s the rub. IMHO, the reason the offense is so good is because it forces the small lineups. My worry is when the bigs are available (or IF they are) is that Edwards will play the majority or all of his minutes at the 3.

You have to have the defense. We couldn’t beat Kansas without it. Kansas is obviously not as good as folks wanted to believe. Everyone is worried about offense, but without defense we’re dead already.

If the defense doesn't get considerably better this team is in for the same fate as last year's team. Getting a big will help but will not fix it. Seems the defense has deteriorated since the first game. Our team scored good last year but couldn't stop a slow cow.

When we have them we will be very good. If we have them we will be pretty good. Currently we have neither of them and no assurance that we will have either of them.
This is UK we are talking about where in recent history nothing has gone as expected. Concerning these 2 players we have seen nothing but setbacks, roadblocks and question marks since late summer.

I think Big Z in particular will be a game changer. He can shoot and finish at a high level for a big in O.

He’s also aggressive enough to alter/block shots in Defense and is used to playing older competition.
