Willis Out Tommorow

He will be back by LSU, according to KSR.....we want a healthy Willis before those chumps roll into town:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

UK can easily beat Vandy without him.

Depends where we play. At Rupp? Certainly. Neutral site? Possibly. At Vandy? Doubtful, even at full strength. Check SEC road records, and our history in that arena specifically.....

I'd venture a guess that just about everyone on this board has sprained their ankle at some point. What people fail to understand is that THERE'S 3 GRADES TO AN ANKLE SPRAIN AND THEY ALL TAKE DIFFERENT TIME LENGTHS TO HEAL. ONE ANKLE SPRAIN ISN'T NECESSARY JUST LIKE ALL OTHERS.
This is just not true . We got a technical for slamming the ball and others didn't for the same thing , that proves logic doesn't exist .

Id hold him out as long as possible
This -
I believe we can win, today, without him; but even if not, would rather take a loss now and have him ready for Post-Season, than take a chance of re-injuring that ankle because he came back too early and be out the rest of the year.

Unfortunately i have had 3 broken ankles and had to have a cast on each for 6 weeks, after removing the cast i was unable to play ball for a couple more months. Not 1 of them looked as bad as his ankle did. Now i know he has better Physical Therapy than i had available but I will be totally shocked if he plays again this season.

Cal seems to be the type that doesn't want to tip his hand regarding injuries. He wants to keep the opposing coach guessing if he can.

Since everyone else has compared their ankle sprains to Willis, I guess I should do the same.

I've had sprains that looked and felt awful and I bounced back much quicker than I thought. I've had them that I didn't think were too bad at the time but lingered for a long while..... and any other combination you can make.

For anyone to predict about an ankle sprain based on a picture and/or their own experience is totally absurd.

It is totally about the grade of the sprain, the individual and the treatment. Which no one outside of UK's inner circle knows.

No point in rushing him back. I dont think Willis matters much against Vandy and FL and even LSU at home. We win LSU for sure with or without him and I think we split these road games without him (predicting a loss today sadly due to FT differential in Nashville). I think FL is a win as they are not very good.

We may tie for the SEC Title and have to play Friday evening instead of early Friday (thanks Pat!) but we will win the SEC Tourney and finish strong overall heading into the NCAA Tourney at 26-8.
