A “cortisone” shot, or any kind of steroid type injection takes at least 24-48 hrs to regain ROM. I don’t give an ish how much PT work you get. A beta blocker though, that will kick in immediately. I would say with my WEB-MD degree that Williams most likely got a bruise and was sore but played through it. But I agree I wish he would just dunk all the time
Back issues, depending on what the specific ailment is, doesn’t necessarily mean it’s constant. You’ve seen Carr dunk multiple times with back spasms. Yet you also see him grimace, tighten and struggle.
7:58 left in first half — when the full court pass to Williams is just out of reach, notice how he lays on the ground and grimaces. Not just that, if you pay attention, you will notice him writhing back some against the floor, kind of scooting back
Did you see when he was laying down on his back for a long time and took a while to get up?
Say the coach is in fact taking up for his player (I don’t think that’s the case). If the coach who knows the player knows it’s in the players interest for the fanbase to not be all over them, why would we as a fanbase say no I won’t trust the coach and go at the player anyway? None of it makes any sense to me. Give the player and the coach benefit of the doubt and move on I think. At least that makes sense to me
