The TV experience is just too good . It’s not just that it’s free. It’s that you have exciting game after exciting game. If one is a blowout just turn on another one .
Discussions of the playoffs . Even basketball games . Enjoyed seeing Cal get beat while watching Bama and Missouri games back and forth.

I guess I understand the parents of the kids going and the students but I really don’t know why anyone else would bother when a much much better experience is available
On the big screen. I can understand going to the September games since that’s before you Know who is competing for the playoffs . Tailgating in warm weather fun . Maybe some October games but November games ? I don’t get it .

Well, November isn't that cold, especially in most of SEC country. A 65 degree game in November might be more pleasant than a 99 degree game in early September in Florida.

A lot! Every SEC game I watched yesterday had a packed house except Vandy. I think it's only a "Kentucky thing".

...except when the old guy sitting behind you is pulling on your shirts and telling you to sit down. lol
I've never had that happen at any stadium for any sport. I do try not to stand TOO much except at big moments but maybe I've just been extraordinarily lucky.

Imagine not going to a football game because you want to watch November basketball, lol. Just record it and watch it later if it’s that important to you. Everybody remembers the cold rainy November nights playing Vandy, but in general the weather around here isn’t all that bad. Never understood the obsession pretending we are Siberia.

Because that they are fan of the school? If UK was 8-1 right now - don't you think the Murray game would be a sellout or close to it? If you aren't a fan of a certain team - then I see your point I guess. I have never been to an NFL game nor do I have any interest in going to a game. Over my lifetime I've been offerred tickets many times to more than one NFL venue. I will (well would have before NIL for sure) take the college game experience anytime. Whether you like them or not every venue I have been to in the SEC, other than Vanderbilt, is truly an exciting event to attend.

When your team is winning anytime is a good time to watch them play in person.

I’ve given away my tickets for the Murray game. I debated on whether to go to the UofL game but at this moment I’m planning to go.

I agree with OP I’ve been twice this year hated it. USC & Vandy games
To many idiots to deal with
If not for tailgating I don’t think UK would average 35K at games
No decent WiFi service - busted speakers that are super loud in one end zone and barely audible in the other
Love to tailgate but the actual game light years better @ home

I live in Murray and went to UK, so I am a fan of both. One of the many and great reasons I drive about 4 hours to see UK play is the fact that we enjoy that atmosphere, love the team, and have great meals over that weekend.

There are exceptions. I’m older than dirt . However my back hurts if I sit down too long and I prefer to stand . I’m the guy others wish would sit down although I do try to be courteous . So I normally stand at times outs but would stand the whole game if I could.
