Why The Backlash From BBN and National Sports Media May Actually Garner UK Respect

You know you remind me of the media you pick out one part of a sentence and go to war with it and neglect the rest. I will agree with you I should not have mentioned Hitler and I wouldn't throw a rock through his business window of any color, but the rest of your oratory is your opinion and I don't agree with it. How does Higgins have the ball, should we just sit back and say hey it ok you can cost out team and fans a chance to compete for a national title, and we will get on our little computers and send Mark Emmert a email telling him that John Higgins gave UNC an unfair advantage in a supposedly neutral game and yes send John one also and say we wish you would be more respectful of our team in the future.....right!!!

Well, now that we have agreement on how inappropriate the analogy was, let me say that I agree with your email campaign. I'd include the UK administration as well. That's a civil discourse and expresses a specific issue, with supporting data for the issue, etc. I have zero problem with that.

How does Higgins have the ball? Well, he's got the rock really. How? We threw it through his virtual store window, dozens of times. It was blue and white and some had FU or other imaginative expletive nicely embossed. He has the rock because we threw it to him. If we had exercised some common sense and restraint, we had a legitimate compliant and a path to air it. Now we got nothing. He has damages and a smoking gun.

I hoped you had decided to take a nap and was going to leave it alone. I am confident you have read this whole thread, so I don't see how it can be proved who pitched that rock, as someone else has already mentioned. But just for the sake of saying it definitely was a Kentucky fan, nothing has really changed our fan base has been ridiculed many times and will continue to be. I hope that this whole incident will put some pressure on Higgins, the NCAA and his fellow referees to stay locked in and focused on these games. I want to think that if anyone has any degree of fairness about them to Kentucky and even John Higgins that we would not ever have this situation arise again it would be very easy to not schedule him to one of our games. I also appreciate you agreeing with me on one point. I know you share my passion for the Wildcats or you would not be on this forum.

You know, to make things interesting. Who do you think would win in a rematch? UK or UNC?

And if the majority of spectators did not disagree with the refs calls?

I put UK as the winner. We barely beat UNC in vegas....And they barely beat us last game with several officiating errors, imo.

The death threats are way over the top. But, I'm okay with the complaints that were within reason. The problem with refs is they never have to justify calls/bad performance.
