I still look at those videos and wonder, how was he not good?
I fully admit initially jumping on the Hunter McClintock wagon, UK was so desperate for talent and those videos made so many people think we found the ultimate diamond in the rough. Then it came out he was atrocious when he played pick up with the team while on his visit and an offer wasn't going to happen.
If he continues the pace he's on, Zion Williamson has a shot at reaching Hunter McClintock status some day.

Fox didn't even have an offer at this time 2 years ago. Cal goes through process.
Because Cal strategically waits, even with the very best players. And it almost always works out great. It makes a UK offer seem like the most precious thing in the world to most kids, and UK doesn't lock itself in early to anyone when better players might be available.

We get some west coast kids. Marcus Lee, Terrence Jones, Kyle Wiltjer. Just got P.J. Washington from Vegas.
He went to Oral Roberts and barely played at all. Transferred to some college I've never heard of and barely played his senior year.
Signed with Oral Roberts. Redshirted as a freshman. Played sparingly as a RS freshman. Transferred to DII Lenoir-Rhyne, and played sparingly there for a couple of years.
