Cause you have Cal suckers who see the recruiting class and forgive him 2 weeks after a loss in the 1st weekend of the NCAA tournament.
I don’t get my hopes up. Cal needs a generational player to win the whole thing.

Probably the most ridiculous thing that we do collectively on this board is have conversations about the most effective lineups.
CCC is clearly going to run out:
DJ
Reeves
Edwards
Tre
Bradshaw
And he’s going to continue to give significant minutes to DJ. Reeves, and Tre, whether their play (and especially their defense) warrants it or not.
And he’s going to continue to have a shorter leash for three guys who are all projected in the lottery. It’s absolute insanity.

How's that, when the coach continues to allow them to play hero ball!!!!!! I don't care if I have to play the walk ons, if they're willing to move the ball they're playing. The reason we're losing is the coach is allowing this

Haven't had expectations for years now with CCC on the sidelines. You all will learn, just get disappointed if you do.
Sometimes, even good teams get their ass kicked. This loss changes nothing of the ceiling of this team or has "early exit written all over it". I know you don't have the capacity for nuance, complex thoughts, but bouncing to such extremes isn't healthy.
Phil Jackson couldn’t win with our guys tonight. Normally it’s on Cal, don’t get me wrong but this is completely on the players. Lazy, not invested and making middle school level mistakes isn’t on Cal. Our guys got punked, plain and simple.
I was fooled as well. I was tricked by the shooting. Even that one skill can’t make up for the lack of toughness, poor on ball defense and poor player personnel decisions by the CEO.

On nights when you guys play bad it's on the coach to do everything they can to balance things out. Cal made no shifts, won't play zone, won't press. He did nothing tonight but throw off the rhythm.

No, it's on Cal. Edwards shouldn't even be getting minutes at this point. Burks would give you more than Edwards. Cal would actually SEE what is going on in the game and tell his guys how to resolve it, but Cal's too busy yelling at the refs and wondering if he needs to pick up Kibbles & Bits on the way home.
Pretty easy to see the myriad of flaws this team has. It will bite them in the tournament. Seen it a hundred times. Hope that’s “complex” enough for you
Bud seeding matters , SEC titles matter — at least they used to . Winning matters .. this is our 4th loss , 1 to Wilma , and blown out to SC .. it’s cause for deep concern — without even mentioning defense .. or rebounding
The expert opinions (I saw the scouting reports) told us what they saw, what he needed to work on. But he didn't improve those things and as a result we're seeing the same things they saw. A kid who can only dribble with his left. A kid who likes to watch the action. A kid who's afraid of contact. A kid who didn't have much burst on his first step. All of those things were in the scouting reports. The ranking doesn't mean shit. Tape mixes are always edited to reflect only the positive.
We can agree to disagree on this one. Effort and composure isn’t taught. Not sure on the final tally, but at one point we were 2-13 on layups. Our guys simply folded.
No. Our guys are unwilling to finish through contact. Effort is enforceable. Composure comes with experience, but Cal doesn't encourage guys to come back, he's recruits taking their place.
Again we will have to agree to disagree, we’ve had plenty of guys return for more than one year. We’ve had a few guys leave when they weren’t ready but for the most part, no one, including Reed is gonna turn down lottery type money.
I've been trying to warn people for at least 6 years. Cal recruits. Does nothing else. He's killing our program and makes it tougher all the time for whoever follows him to fix it. The longer he's here, the less chance we have of ever getting back to what we used to be.
That shows how far we've fallen. We're already on pace to lose 10 to 11 games this year. That's not Kentucky basketball.
