You must be a pleasure when deciding where to eat for dinner.
Your family: "Dad, we'd like McDonald's."
You: "I mean, McDonald's offers quantitatively less calories than Burger King, and for less value. Burger King is a higher volume of calorie for a slightly cheaper value."
Your family: "But the nuggets are better."
You: "I never said they weren't better, I just pointed out their value is lesser from a calorie intake standpoint, which the analytical folks will undoubtedly argue is better. Essentially, I'm okay with McDonald's, but it needs to be noted that Burger King's value rate is statistically more productive if one is trying to save money, while also enjoying a solid fast food product."
Your family: "McDonald's has a clown, and we like that, too. He's an American icon. They also have the Hamburgular."
You: "Technically, the Burger King mascot has been around longer since 1955. Ronald McDonald has only been around since 1963. That gives the Burger King an additional eight years of American iconography. I'm not saying I disagree, per se, that Ronald is not an American icon, just that if we're being comparatively honest, the analytics clearly tell us that Burger King is the greater American icon from a technical standpoint."
Your family: "Dad, we don't care. Now we want Chipotle."
