2011 UCONN...

Ulis/Kemba - Both small guards that have a crazy ability to score and facilitate. High basketball IQ, great ball pressure defensively and guys that guarding them for 25 seconds isn't good enough because of their ability to get their own shot or create for others.

Murray/Lamb - Both are smooth guys that can score at every level. Both knockdown shooters when their feet are set. Both were more athletic than they got credit for. Both really pure scorers that can get buckets fast when hot.

Willis/Olander - Stretch 4's that can shoot.

Poythress/Roscoe Smith - Energy guys that are freak athletes. Both would have spells of really good play and then some not so good play. Both Can block shots, catch lobs, get out in transition. Neither were great at creating for themselves consistently. Both solid rebounders. Both had decent jumpers but didn't shoot a ton.

Lee/ Okwandu - Role Players. Good Rebounders. Energy, Shot Blockers, Garbage Men Offensively

Only Differences are UCONN didn't have a guy like Briscoe and we don't have 1 guy like Oriakhi. However, Oriakhi only averaged 9 and 9. If we can get by committee from Skal/Humphries and other bigs we should be fine.

Both teams were not incredibly deep, lead by outstanding guard play and just had role players outside of that that accepted their role and did what they did best. I have a feeling come tourney time this team is going to be REALLY tough to handle.
