Look man, he LEADS THE SEC IN SCORING AVG!!!! THE SEC!!! So now go ahead and tell me how Tre Johnson isn’t any good now of that he had some sort of trouble scoring 32pts on us??? I mean cmon man, I’m as UK BLUE as anyone here but you can’t just say that everyone else besides UK guys aren’t good? Tre Johnson would absolutely lead our team in scoring this year as well so please don’t tell me that recruiting elite high schoolers doesn’t matter. That’s just goofy.
I still think we would need someone like Jamichael Stillwell from Milwaukee as well. A solid shooter and elite rebounder from a mid major to play the 4. He could cover the 5 if Garrison can’t handle it.
Is Ament a clone of Tre Johnson? How do you know Ament isnt more like Brandon Boston and contact in the SEC will make him shrivel ? Also UL is 1 game, if we lose it one freaking year at UL next year , so freaking what?
Ament isnt coming to UK anyways, and any talk about him positive to UK is probably encouraged by UL or Duke so they get a huge recruiting win over us and people like you melt down.
I dont want UL to ever have a better year than us but if they do, its not the end of the world. heck UL getting Ament might be the best thing possible because it might drive our boosters and mitch barnhart to actually stepping up and doing things that need to be done behind the scenes
My life-long best friend is also a Louisville fan, and we've never let it come close to being a thing. We rib each other sometimes, but it's nothing serious. I would have his back a hundred times over many UK fans I know.
Yeah if you don’t think it’s important to keep our feet on UL’s neck, we will never see eye to eyeon this. I live in Louisville and work at KTP (ford) and these asshats are insufferable!!! It’ll ALWAYS be a huge deal to me for us to keep pounding UL!!!
Stillwell is one I would love from the portal. There are already 4 or 5 others that I would be very happy to get from the portal for the PF spot, and that's just based on my guess that they're likely to enter the portal due to not being able to pass up NIL opportunities (although one or two might still be potential late 1st round draft picks).

Mark Pope's mantra since he arrived at UK is to "win banners". Players like Tre Johnson don't sign with the likes of Texas to win anything. He went there because Rodney Terry promised a perpetual green light to gun away. All he cares about is to "showcase his skills" for the NBA just like John Calipari's constant parade of five stars who got embarrassed in the NCAA tournament year after year by teams like Oakland and St. Peter's with rosters full of guys who play hard, smart, together and have zero pro prospects.
Pope will land a five star freshman from time to time because he works hard at what he does and Kentucky is Kentucky, but only if the recruit is a high character guy who fits his system and will be a good teammate. Personally, that's the way I want it. We are on the right track.
