Lol I like to think that you and I are two of the more level-headed and realistic posters on here, but there is no way to defend this roster management or total failure of the portal for now the 3rd straight year.
We're about to waste one of the best recruiting classes of all time with another mediocre year if we don't do something QUICK.
I mean in 2019, he was able to convince Nate Sestina to come here, despite already having EJ Montgomery and Keion Brooks on the roster- but now we literally have an entire starting spot left to fill and we can't get a transfer to sniff us?

I will say that Cal was pretty good picking up Grad transfers to help us out. I hope if Oscar/Livingston do leave that they have made contact with many at the NBA Combine and have a plan of attack ready to go. Makes no sense otherwise if we miss on Johnson.

Why even bother discussing this? I get that it's slow and most of us realize we don't have enough players, especially experienced players, but you're ramming your head against the wall. Cal was only interested in Dickinson from the portal. And that interest waned after it was apparent he wanted sacks of cash, upfront. It's not happening with the portal this season. He guaranteed the freshmen they would start (minus Shep). These portal guys aren't coming to be 8th or 9th man. It's not happening. We'll be really young and get bullied all season long. Just accept it now so you won't be disappointed later

Cool dude. If we really don't add ANYONE ELSE, and we go into the season with 7 scholarship players and we don't add a SINGLE other player, then I will absolutely come back here and tell you that you were right.
But in reality, there is obviously 0% chance we go into the year with 7 scholarship players, so you're living in a fantasy world.
