Which 5 ex UK players that you saw play at UK, in your opinion has had the best professional careers?

Damn all you guys saying Dan Issel must be old af
No just have seen them all and know basketball. Issel was an all time great NBA player and could have played today. Go ask other NBA greats NBA like Jabbar and Malone how good he was. And he did it at 6-9 against 7 footers.

Dan Issel and Louie Dampier were born 50 years too early. They would have been perfect for today's NBA with the way they could shoot.

Think of Hartenstein for the Thunder with an inside out game. Thats how Issel played. Looked like a slow bruiser but played much quicker with his reactions, instincts etc much like Bird played quicker. Had the combination of physicality and finesse and that's how he made it all those years against much bigger and more athletic competition. Deadly headfake!

I’m just curious why Cousins made the list? He’s one of my favorite players of the Cal era, but if I’m being honest, I think most people would say that injuries made his professional career somewhat of a disappointment….
I agree with you about Cousins & his injuries they hurt his career. BUT, he had a 5 year run where he averaged over 25 points & right at 12 rebounds a game. At the time there were a lot of basketball people that considered Cousins to be one of the top 7 or 8 players in the world.

Overall professional careers:
Dan Issel (15 years as player, coach)
Louie Dampier (12 years)
Larry Steele (player, coach, broadcaster, administration)
Anthony Davis
Pat Riley (player, coach, executive)

Strictly as a player:
Dan Issel
Dampier
Anthony Davis
Jamal Mashburn
John Wall

When he was healthy, yes, but it lasted such a short time. I just can’t put him into the top 5 overall careers in the NBA for UK players.
