Just wondering where all the whining and crying guys are that went on and on about Dallas game last week (not just this board) but haven't said a word about the Randall Cobb catch in the first half that led to a Green Bay field goal?

I mean the ball bounced off the ground and they reviewed it and still gave it to him.

Been a Dallas fan for over 30 years and they just got beat today. No reason to cry over a call. Every games have calls that go both ways.

I was half paying attention when they reviewed that but on the one shot I saw it looked like it hit the ground. THAT SAID, I did not get the advantage of repeated replays.

They are all over on the UL forum.

Link anyone?

Yeah the tip stuck in the ground obviously from one angle on Cobb's catch. Just the tip

Dez caught the ball, took 2-3 steps, ball never touched the ground, Dez never touched out of bounds, ball came lose after he was down (and after contact) and he retained the ball - that's a catch. Rule says you have to retain possession all the way to the ground, he did - had he gone out of bounds, I get it.

Cobbs catch should've been overturned, the ball hit the ground and bounced - the ball can hit the ground, as long as you have possession of it first.

Ball came out when he hit the ground, clearly. You have to maintain control all the way though. He did not. It was the right call. I saw that the ball popped out when watching it live, no replay needed. I'm not sure how you can even argue that?

Exactly, the rule is different in the pros than in college, where the ground can't cause a fumble in college. In the NFL, the receiver must maintain possession all the way through to the ground, or at the least make a football move, there was on football move made because he went to the ground, it popped out before so he did not maintain control all the way to the ground. He hit rolled, out came the ball he re-caught, but that was not control.
