The thing about hating something, is you begin to see it as the reason that's causing everything else bad.
And people hate NIL.
So now it's the reason we are losing all these games.
Yesterday, KSR spent forever about how it was sapping Stoops coaching superpowers.
That and the portal is the reason we don't have discipline.
I'm seeing now its the boogie man preventing us from putting the best team on the field.
Apparently we have a sideline full of all Americans. But we can't play them because we gave nil money to the starters.

There's not a better quarterback than BVG on this team. Discipline isn't reason Marquez Cox and Dylan Ray and Jagr Burton can't block. The offense wouldn't run any better if Stoops was spending less time with donors. Hamdan isn't calling 3rd down sweeps to keep Barion here. Extra point snaps aren't in the dirt because of diva long snappers. NIL and the new way of college football isn't our problem.

Guys, we just sink.

Stoops ability to EVALUATE talent is NOT what it was 10 years ago. He built this program by bringing in kids that he could DEVELOP that wanted to be here and get better. For the last 3 seasons, since the NIL era, he has MISSED on some key players that he was depending upon to take his program to the next level.

It hasn't happened and now he is at a loss for WHY.

Can he RECOVER and turn HIS program back around and put it back on track to make a 12 team playoff within the next 3 seasons??? If HE feels like the answer to that is NO, then he may want to either retire OR move on. At this point the ONLY job I think he could get is his alma mater Iowa, if Ferentz decides to hang it up.

Obviously you see the fallacy of this analysis.

NIL and same year transfers built the 2001, 10-3 team, with Levis at QB, Jaquez Jones at MLB and Wandale Robinson at WR (and Dare Rosenthal at OT), and they all got paid.

Stoops and staff have just not had as good a luck with more recent folks as they had for that season, and have had too many misses.
