The hell is he supposed to say or do that'll do any actual good for the program?
Mitch Milquetoast is probably off writing his thank you letters to the other committee members for letting Kentucky have the toughest draw with a ref who is a notorious UK hater.
He's smart and staying out of it like he should. There is absolutely zero to gain from him saying anything about the game or refs.

I'm actually a huge advocate against Roids and have been a member of a group in Tennessee that holds group awareness and education for high school aspiring college athletes. So no, I'm not. My cross fit body is pure work.

Even if he didn't have any say about UK's seed/region, he sure as hell had some input on UNC, UCLA, and WSU.
Definitely didn't improve our seeding from last several years.
Next year's bracket will make this one look like a walk in the park.
Doing nothing to try to protect our young guys from being mistreated with seeding and Higgins. Our new bunch next season have no clue about refs like Higgins, NCAA seeding committee, Forde, Clay and just the general hate and jealousy of our program.

Amen. Barnhart has been one of the best ADs for the overall athletics department. He does quite a bit and some narrow-minded fans still sh*t on him.
Absolutely shame that happens.
Mitch B has ZERO pull or influence in the college athletics world. He's just another run-of-the-mill AD. Despite all of C.M.'s football screwups, he was a major power guy in the NCAA. Take a look at which schools were in UK's brackets when he was on the committee - good teams but, for the most part, Cats had relatively easy roads to the Final Four. IMO.
CM was a much better AD when it came to PR and not letting the NCAA run over him.
And I know this isn't a popular thing on this board, but CM didn't do much of anything for any sport beyond Football/Basketball. Yes, I know they bring in revenue, but other sports need to be recognized. Nor was he a personable AD (which is a nice thing).

UK is currently 9th in NACDA Directors' Cup standings and that doesn't include basketball. UKAA is doing very well, competing across the board and staying clean.
If that's true - and I don't know enough to say - it's peculiar to me that his lieutenants continue to land very high profile jobs.
Off the top of my head, these schools have hired guys who worked under Barnhart:
Mississippi State (2x, I think)
Arizona
Oregon
Florida
Boise State
Minnesota
Maryland
Syracuse
That's just the ones I recall. Oregon and Florida, in particular, are highly coveted AD positions. For someone who has no more going for him than what I read here, it's funny how respected the people are that work under him....
The fact that you guys think guys on the committee get to hand pick their programs bracket and even get to pick the refs speaks volumes about the level of common sense you possess. We got a 1 seed with 7 loses anyway, stop crying.

The fact is that NONE of us know what conversations MB may or may not have had behind closed doors, which is EXACTLY where these conversations need to be held. Yet there are still some on here who will take the opportunity to say how ill-equipped MB is to do anything. Speaks a lot about said posters.
Just because MB doesn't run to the nearest tabloid to act like a pissed off message-board poster is a good thing for the program. Hopefully he and Cal have voiced their opinion in a professional manner. That would do more to help us than the scorched earth approach some on here want.
