The worst part about this post is that I agree with many of your other takes on issues, but instead of just saying why you don't agree you have to call me and others idiots. At no time have I said that Mitch is perfect. He's made bad hires (BCG/Joker), but he's done good things as well. Hell, just getting out of the way and letting others decide on Cal is a win in my book (as opposed to obstructing it a second time).

Barnhart has done everything humanly possible to make it extremely difficult for Calipari to leave. Multiple contract extensions, lucrative pay raises, etc...

He's also hired a football coach that clearly has us moving in the right direction.

Has he made bad hires? Yes. But you have to be delusional to think Barnhart doesn't have UK athletics in a great position.

The facts behind the hire are not on a web site to grab. I knew 3 weeks before you did what was going down.

Checked and I found out we were getting Cal Feb 26, 2009. It was a Thursday night and Memphis was playing at UAB. I slept better that night than I had until before the ice storm.
