I apologize, I should have thought in advance to transcribe it.

Anyway, he didn't say too much we haven't heard before.

Kriisa being held out prob overprotectively for a very minor hamstring tweak. (His speed is so important to him and so critical to what he does for the team.)

When we are on our team passing is elite. But at this point there is a lot of gravity that is pulling us away from that.

We are so hungry for data. Because none of us have played together. No one besides Jax even knew their shooting drills, a shakeup for Pope since they've run the exact same shooting drills for seven years. Wishes it was a 50 game season.

Really hasn't seen a lot of separation in practice. Feels like that could be a good sign or a bad sign. Chooses to see it as a good sign. These guys are just really focused in on the game, on what we do, on working together to accomplish the goal, on helping each other on and off the court and getting to know each other as well as possible.

Will play a whole lot of guys.

Starters will be:

Butler
Oweh
Robinson
Carr
Williams

My biggest takeway was Pope sounded nervous to me. Not spooked or scared but excited nervous. Tom Leach afterwards made a point of saying Pope was calm and had no butterflies. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I dunno; I wasn't there. But my *ears* tell me our coach *is* so excited and wants to win so bad he actually does have butterflies before our first exhibition game against a nobody. Just wanting so bad to do so good.

That psyches the fire out of me. Do you know how cool that is? How much it could help us? 180° opposite of being so self-defeating stuck up that you tell your kids to not even look at the Wisconsin players who are all begging for autographs because you're 38-0, on your way to blowing the game 'coz you didn't take the opponent seriously enough.

LET'S GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
