No. They held themselves hostage before the QB contract. They, like Chicago and others, just aren't willing to consistently spend enough on key components to win it all. They need an OL and TE. Shouldn't have let Perine go. Should have fought to keep their defense solid.

It seems that way at least. But it could be that, like the Cubs in baseball for many years, there's not enough bells and whistles to their practice facilities In Cincy, or the city itself doesn't offer enough to star players for them to want to be there.
Only 2 teams make it to the super bowl and 1 has to lose, so maybe it's actually more complicated to get there AND WIN than we might think
