Legitimate question we’d love to have an answer for.

1. You’re at the winningest program in all of college basketball.
2. You’re one of the highest paid coaches in college basketball ($8.5 million a year).
3. You have the greatest fanbase in all of college sports, and probably all of professional sports.
4. You constantly get the best of the best (5-star athletes).
5. You’ve had the National Player of the Year, the Freshman of the Year, the Sixth Man of the Year, ect, ect.

What else can the University, or the fanbase give him to thrive, and be successful? These last 5 years have been a complete disaster. That’s not an opinion, that’s a fact.
How on God’s green earth can someone defend this?

If we have to keep Cal. Then as AD I would have a frank conversation with him. His staff is getting a shake up. A offensive and defensive coordinator is being placed into the system. Cal asked for these positions last year. Get real talent evaluators. Stop recruiting the 5 star just because they are a 5 star. Look for more polished fundamental players, players that have not spent all of High school playing AAU ball and have very little concept of team ball, or the basics of defense. Revert back to building a strong base of 2-3 players with the homerun hit of a 5star or portal star as needed. You talking about a 15 year coach building a program at UK. That’s not happening with cal. Barney may tell him but cal will do what he wants and he’s not going to build a program. It’s too late for that
