I've read so much this may not be right - but my understanding is that in the instance(s) where Powell did her duties at Minardi after McGee moved to Kansas City, McGee wired her $200 and then someone else at the door gave her another $200. Which is where "Coach Mike" comes in. If you read the interview with Brandon Williams, you get the idea that the NCAA thinks Balado gave Williams $200, and that it was Williams who met her at the door and gave her that $200.

But as a University and institution . An NCAA college basketball school- you can't fawking hire hookers for sex as a recruiting advantage for underage kids (rape by law ) and players.

Thanks for the breakdown! This proves two points for me.
1. The NCAA doesn't want the dirty business of a vacating the title, they want U of L as a forthright member of and in the spirit of the institution to come clean and vacate the games themselves. Basically, I could see the NCAA or other members barring U of L from the NCAA if they don't come clean on their own. This will be the new modus operandi for the NCAA I think. If all the member institutions are cool with what U of L did then amateur athletics will disappear the collegiate level.
2. U of L admitted guilt months ago. They were hoping for the best but got the worst. They are now trying to push the penalty ruling to the court of public opinion. Given the topical matter I just don't see anyone siding with them. They really need to be careful about doing more damage to their image. You would think University leadership would step up and clean house.

Yep, and it's really not like a book - with a book, you can't skim or skip pages, or you get lost and miss stuff. With these kinds of things - a list of questions, answers to the questions, responses to the answers - there's a lot of redundancy. You can skim a lot without missing anything, cause you read it the first time.
Remember when he claimed that all the good things happening to him in 2013 (national title, Hall of Fame, horse ran in Derby) taught him about humility....then he immediately went out and bought himself a fancy sports car? (Nothing wrong with buying sports cars, just not what you'd expect from someone going on and on about how humility had changed his life)
The report also explains that Williams refused to give his phone records, which prevented the NCAA from tracking down who was making the payments when McGee left. That is a huge piece of the puzzle that the NCAA could not uncover, which again shows that there were more people involved at UofL.

These parents should tell their kids, "We should take pride in our university, but it's become a cesspool with the likes of Comb Over, Turtleneck, Crypt Keeper in charge. We should clean house, bring in men that have some sense of decency and let's go from there."

I get that it's a joke but saying kid can go play in the street is low class. I also get that UL people would stoop that low. We don't have to though. They brought their family into it we should just shake our heads at their less than adequate intellectual level.
Unfortunately, this problem tends to fall into the "human nature" category. Luckily, there are laws and many people who do the right thing on a daily basis. But the following quote almost always seems to hold true...

You are reading WAY too much into this. It is just a procedural point, and nothing more. Whether it is a game again Northwest Directional A&M or the national title game, once the penalty of vacating wins has been determined, as a matter of procedure, the member school has to provide the list of games back to the COI that the ineligible players participated in. The ruling itself had very direct language about vacating the wins, taking down any championship banners or recognition, returning trophies, updating record books, official statistics, and websites...and even having to explicitly state WHY the record books and statistics were changed in the UofL publications.
This. There is nothing left to prove regarding the players in question. The NCAA has already identified the players and, in fact, Louisville has already informed the NCAA what games they played in. But that was in earlier briefing, which was referred to by Louisville during the press conference last week. They confirmed that the ruling would impact 108 games and 15 tourney games, including the 2013 title. The 45 day thing is just standard procedure. Now that the ruling has officially been made that games will be vacated for ineligible players, Louisville must officially confirm what games the ineligible players actually played in. Again, Louisville already stated as much at the press conference last week. In short, this is just a formality. In addition, the appeal will have nothing to do with the facts -- it is solely about the nature of the penalties.

I'm satisfied the NCAA had already prepared for an appeal. Pitino slamming the NCAA was so dumb. For example:

A 10-year show cause penalty for McGee is pretty excessive (not saying he's innocent). If I were McGee I would file an appeal as well, and talk my head off!!
