What are you listening to?

She definitely used to, but not anymore.
Everyone was filming and she never said a word. She was in a great mood and I guess it doesn't bother her these days. She will be 72 on September 7th and still has it ... no question !! I was less than a free throw's distance from both her and James Walbourne (absolutely incredible guitarist) the whole set and got plenty of great stills and videos. So lucky to have been there ... in such a great little venue ... !!!
I saw her at the Palace within the past few years. She lectured people. I agree with her, but also think when you pay the cost of a show today, you do you.

Yes. I was at that show and recall the same. Also, I have seen her admonish people at the Taft (Cincy) and Marat (Indy) ,where she called people out and was a little testy about it. It seems she has mellowed ... phones were everywhere in The Blue Room on Saturday. Btw ... tix were only $64.06 and were sold through DICE. It was all pretty cool ...

Lastly, tickets for Frampton at Palace on 11/09 go on sale this morning at 10:00AM, if interested.

Listening to Buddy Guy right now. He is so good. Brubeck and then Miles Davis with John Coltrane. Beautiful night here in Louisville to sit out and listen to music with good bourbon.
If you have the time … this might suit you … full album !!!

Still so young to travel so far
Old enough to know who you are

Don’t record her. She gets pissed when she sees people holding their phones up during her shows.
Chrissie turned 72 yesterday and posted this on facebook today. You can see she has mellowed and is trying to not let the camera/recording thing bother her. Here is a cut-and-past of her message to fans:

Good morning all!
Thank you for your very kind birthday messages, and gifts, and flowers. Much appreciated. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Also - it’s been great seeing your familiar faces at the shows, and playing for you in small clubs has been such good fun.
Thank you for being there.
XCH.

Ps I’ve tried not to let the CameraPhones bother me. I think you might have noticed how I’ve improved on that score.
Still, sometimes I slip up and lose it …
Sorry!

Her new album, RELENTLESS, will be released on 09/15/23. It has a number of quality tunes and I am very impressed that she is still making such quality music. It appears that she truly is RELENTLESS !!!

I am a Split Enz and Crowded House fan, but that song does not achieve what came before, IMO.
I understand ... their discography is huge and everyone has their favorites. Like you, I am a huge fan of their entire career and will see anything "Finn" whenever I can. My favorite song is MESSAGE TO MY GIRL ... fwiw.
I enjoy this live version done many years later ... the melody is simply KILLER, imho. Neil is a little hoarse, but that's okay ... !! Hearing this song at the Headliners show we both attended was a highlight for me !!

Mowed the lawn to Funkadelic’s Maggot Brain today. Haven’t put that on in a while. What a trip. Early George Clinton (1971!) was a huge influence on Prince, RHCP, Outkast, countless others. Eddie Hazel is one of the best guitarists that far too few ever got to hear…
