What are you listening to?

Disco is my guilty pleasure, so the Best of Donna Summer. She had some voice, and rarely over did the harmonizing.

I love finding new artists/songs. Takes a lot of work, but uncovering something that hits is worth it. This dude has less than 1,500 followers on Spotify but I dig:

Pretty girl, with harp, likes to yee-haw:

And this is pretty dope:

Ah, yes. I was discussing this very thing yesterday with a co-worker who happens to also be a music junkie, like myself. There are tons of great musicians making great music out there, if you just know how to look for it. It puzzles me when I hear someone say that there hasn't been any good music since the classic rock bands of the 70s. I seem to stumble upon a dozen or so great bands every year.

In honor of my last uncle on my Dad's side who died last month (93 years old) I'll be playing his favorite artist. Marty Robbins. Only one uncle left (no aunts) and I have no idea what his taste in music is.

RIP Robbie.

Filmed 40 years ago. The best guitarist that ever played, before or since! The GOAT.

Over the past 25 years, folks ask me where I call home. My reply is "Austin, Texas", of course. At least 1/3 mentioned "Stevie Ray Vaughan" during the conversation.

Crazy. Well, not crazy, but shows how much respect Stevie earned.
