As a result of losing that game last night.

That’s how much the sky is falling.

When I mentioned Monday The Unforgettables lost to unranked Pitt in one of their first contests defending their #4 ranking, they lost by 18.

At home.

They had all been playing together for three years except for JAMAL MASHBURN who was in his second year.

Mark Pope to his credit is treating this as a tragedy that needs to be fixed at all costs. That’s his reaction to losing by four points amidst a shooting drought in his first road game with a team he had literally less than two months to put together from scratch before the portal dried up, and with a late start to begin with. Anyone who needs more than that from him has an agenda or emotional problems.

Great point.

But also, I'd feel a lot better if this team had Mash. I'll even take Mash right now at 50.

Some people just started way too high. There’s nothing wrong with getting hyped but when you start looking at a portal filled roster as though they are a flawless machine, you are bound to end up upset. We didn’t make shots yesterday and we really struggled to score in the paint. On the other hand, we really showed some grit and moxie defensively from our starters and started to adjust to the high pressure defense. We also learned what a weapon Butler is when defenses are playing us this way. We aren’t that far off from a really good team.

NET only dropped 1, from 8 to 9. SOS will only get better from here on out. UL now looking like a Q2 instead of a Q1. Thanks, Dirty Birds!
