Was wondering if BBN is doing the typical over-inflation on an incoming recruits skills and consequent expectations. Why was he not in this game?

He wasn’t eligible for some reason. Nothing to do with his rating. He will be in the Jordan game.

He would not fit there regardless. He is very good basketball player, not an overrated brick layer like Acuff or Boozer.

The love for Duke was obvious at the McDonalds game from commentators to how the teams were made.

For instance , Moreno didn’t even start though he was dominant whenever he would play. They decided to play with no center line up….. the bias was obvious..

Jasper Johnson is ranked between 15th and 18th , of course he was good enough to play. if he was a 5th year high school player then that would be why he wasnt on the mcdonalds roster. Also Lewis not making it but Mullins, Adams etc making it was horse trash. You can tell by highlights alone Lewis can drive and score with either hand and go left or right. He's a decent shooter that reminds me of Quickley out of HS although dont expect him to become a sharp shooter like Quickley did his sophomore year because that huge of a leap doesnt happen often. I think he's going to surprise a lot of people who are acting like he's not an impressive recruiting get.

A lot of this stuff is decided by media guys and people in the AAU season. Jasper Johnson didn't have a great AAU season last year and it's likely why he was bypassed. It's more important that he bounced back with a strong season in OTE than what he did last Spring/Summer. Maybe he's a player who didn't like the weight of a college decision to think of...maybe he was with lesser teammates and had to do too much but whatever it was-he wasn't very efficient or good last Spring/Summer.

I don't and haven't understood the Darius Adams thing at all. Was surprised UConn took him when they did but also knew they were tiring of the Meleek Thomas recruitment and being put on hold for Calipari.

Not eligible due to playing in overtime elite league. Same thing happened to Dillingham the year prior.
False. Overtime Elite players are now eligible, as evidenced by the fact that his OE teammate Maleek Thomas made the team.

Johnson was simply snubbed. Who knows why.

Jasper has become more efficient and better teammate in OTE

Perhaps Pope makes some suggestions to his game

I think Jasper, Lewis, and maybe even Moreno will be in the Jordan/Brand game so can get a look at them there
