Waning Optimism

I do get where the OP is coming from. Failing to beat lesser teams by 35+ isn't very exciting. We need an injection of a quality victory. Playing at Clemson should be our stiffest challenge since the Duke game and is an opportunity for a quad 1 win. Optimism is renewed with a victory.

we played mid majors while other teams were playing in tournaments against major conf teams. We couldnt help that , those tournaments were booked before Pope took over. Yeah wins against Power 5 conf teams (counting Big East as a power conf for basketball) are going to look better than wins over WKU and Ga St.

but OP is not a UK fan, the only question is , UL, Tenn, or Arkansas fan.

The problem is winning on the road against Clemson and Gonzaga is something the top 3 teams in the country would have a hard time doing. We will have to win 5 on 8 so if we lose these games it doesnt mean we suck but people like the OP will sure come to try and push that agenda since the OP isnt a UK fan.

Our resident Vandy fan "loved" this take, so just keep that in mind next time he comes over here to wax poetic about Kevin Stallings, pretend to compliment UK, or some other dumb shit.

Also, Uconn played 4 sub 300 teams before going to Maui to play some great, but not elite teams.

Our schedule is fine. It's game 7 and we already played, and beat, the apparent best team in the nation.

WRONG

Thank you for a sane reply. I have to agree with you. Seems like every team is loaded.
That means there’s a much larger margin for error.

An ESPN announcer said the league champ will probably lose 5-6 games this year. The SEC is loaded. Bring it! Do you want to complain about playing cupcakes or complain about the conference being too hard?

I still like our team, but after watching all of the games the past few days including ours I feel like the road is gonna be much tougher. The SEC is absolutely stacked and the remaining non-conference games are tough. Middle of the pack in the SEC looks about right to me. Not being negative, it's just an observation.
Looks brighter to me than if we still had Cal and that out dated offense and horrible defense. The SEC is going to be a tough battle, but so far this team seems to be very adaptable and high bball IQ. Also the SEC is going to be a slug fest for all teams, so I think this team will be up there and I have no doubt will do better in the SEC tourney than that past 7 or 8 years.

We are beating the scrubs like we are supposed to.
Sorry but its hard to get up for the Georgia Sts and the Lipscums of the world.
You will see different energy and intensity next week at Clemson and Gonzaga.
Because they know if they dont they will lose.

This board is a coke head. Last year if anyone presented any positivity at all they would get shit on. This year if anyone presents any negativity at all they will get shit on. Wild
