Von Pearson Reinstated at Tennessee

So you may be very surprised to learn this, but actually people outside of BBN have a very different perception of UK than people inside BBN. Just like people outside of Alabama have a different perception of it than those in it. And people in Chapel Hill have a different perception of UNC than those who aren't UNC fans.

Yeah, I guess I am seeing that right here.

Pretty incredible that some people think UK cheats more than TU or UL, especially in the 21st century, huh. Do those programs have a compliance officer like Sandy that makes sure everything is squeaky clean (too much so) or do they have a couple on the staff that are busy figuring out how they can take advantage of any loopholes in the rules?

My guess is the latter.

Great job with the COA, by the way.

I think history has shown it to be true that UK has had its fair share of cheating. I think cheating in general isn't as much the norm as it once was considering how easy it is to get caught. I have no idea who Sandy is, but I am glad she is apparently good at her job. She better be because the NCAA makes rules that are impossible to avoid breaking. The best a school can hope to do is self-report their violations because there surely will be some. Ask any coach in the country and they will tell you tell how tough it is to keep the NCAA happy, you wouldn't have to go far--just head over to the basketball program and ask Calipari. The NCAA created rules. Some of them serve a purpose, many of them are stupid. They are written by lawyers. If there are exceptions to the rule or ways of meeting the letter of the rule while still accomplishing goals then schools should utilize those to their advantage. If a school exploits an existing loophole then it's not cheating. If a school fails to do so to their own detriment then they are stupid and should fire everyone and hire some smarter people.

And my view of the COA has been discussed in depth. It's similar to yours, minus the idea that people are cheating.
