Video of all 5 of Travis' fouls. Spoiler - they were all bad.

I think it possible Shows is the new Higgins . A guy on a power trip that hates Cal. Just look at this video . The proof is before your eyes . Grant W is such a vagina , quit flopping bitch. And I'm not buying they are just bad in general , we come out on the short end far far far too often . The kick ??? the OOB we never saw a replay on , the charge on KJ where he stopped and didnt contact anyone.

I think that when a ref makes a bad call, they try to even it up on the other side.

That's where I think the evening ends tho.

I mean guys.......since Cal has gotten here most years we have made more free throws than our opponents have taken.

We have feasted at getting fouled and getting to the line lol

Most seasons, offensive rebounding and getting to the line IS our offense.

More free throws because we play inside and drive A LOT instead of just chucking up 30 threes a game like almost every other SEC team does (or has done a lot in the past) and we have done so for the vast majority of Coach Cal's time here at UK.

I'm not normally one to blame officials on a loss. And yes, we probably should have won this game even despite them. But my God, this one was truly awful. I went back and made a "highlight" reel of the 5 "fouls" on Reid Travis. I would contend that every one of them was a bad call. Maaaaybe the first one. And perhaps a no call on his 4th. People only want to look at the last 1 or 2 calls. But every bad call matters against one of your most important players. There is no way you will convince me that we lose this game without Reid.

All that being said, although I'm frustrated with the loss, I think we actually played great today (aside from the final 3 minutes), and definitely are playing well enough to contend for a title. Excited for tomorrow to see who we will be beating next week!

Well done, well done. Slow clap... much appreciated.

I did not need to see a video of this. I saw them ALL live on tv. MAYBE 2 fouls that were credible, the others were horrible.

If anyone thinks refs don't gamble especially online these days with the anonymity and bogus usernames and such, then you must have your head so far up your own ass or in the sand that it's laughable. You probably couldn't see a train coming until it's two feet in front of you. I feel bad for people like that.

3rd and 5th were egregious. First 2, I won’t complain about. 4th looked like a charge to me, but that call is often missed. Thought Keldon’s charge wasn’t a bad call either. Yes, Williams flopped - as he did on Travis’ 2nd - but those weren’t horrible calls. But the 3rd and 5th, goodness, those were just inept.
Wow. I don’t know what the ref thought he saw on the 3rd one.
And yep, the 5th one was terrible as well.

I think Travis has been called at least once in every game for the little push-off in the paint to get open when his man is draped on him. Refs see the reaction and buy it. They don't have any sympathy for the large, muscular dude that RT is. He needs to just be more mindful of it.

I hate bringing up refs after losses because people will just say sore loser or some stupid shit, but I had to walk away after this game. The kicked ball, PJ flagrant, technical(was there a warning? Honestly don't know.), RT fouls especially 5th, ref calling an offensive foul and the guy farther away overturns it, etc, etc.....

Yeah the 5th one......my wife turned to me and was like where was the foul...........i dunno i said......didn't look like he touched him lol

What the heck was the kick ball? Can you even kick the ball on offense?

Williams with the limbo limbo limBO at 0:20

Hey we're going to need some more of these videos - I LOL'd a few times at your captions.

P.S. Williams is a bum player. Pathetic. I don't feel bad for him at all when he hits his head on the floor; that's what happens when you flop.

I couldn’t watch today, had to listen to it on the radio. This makes me feel a little different and I’m not a ref blamer.

Dang, some of those were really bad. Makes a big difference at the end and unless I’m crazy he picked up 3 fouls in the last 5 minutes and change.

I can kind of see why the conspiracy theorist are out tonight!

Were the radio guys complaining about it at all?

Sure looked bad on TV

WWWWWWOOOOOOWWW!!!

The charge on KJ was really bad!!! Complete flop!! You can easily see that it was a flop and that KJ stopped him forward progress on his own. He stops and then Williams goes flying backwards. Just a really bad call. Huge call as well cause that three puts us up by 10.

Thanks for the video OP. Was worse than I remember in real time. Couple this with the horrible non-call on the Auburn / Florida game, and the SEC looks bad. Then we had the 2 infamous calls in the SEC this season. LSU in both with goaltending no call, and foul with .6 at UT.

ACC just as bad. Cost UNC the game last night. Zion walks pretty clearly with 30 seconds to go on game winner.

This right here is the problem. They try and please the coaches by worrying about the foul count. Just call the game!! Instead, they want to make sure the fouls are evened up. You see it every game, a team gets a few fouls ahead and all the sudden here comes the whistles. Then they try to keep the star players in the game amd ignore blatant fouls. They literally talk about keeping the stars in the game. Trust me, Ive heard guys say it during pregames and during the games themself in my officiating career. Its really sad.

To everyone saying the 5th was the worst, I actually contend that #3 was far and away the worst of the bunch. In a game that was pretty rough throughout and alot of contact was getting let go, that is the type of call that makes me think refs may have some kind of agenda. Some of the others you could argue maybe the ref had a bad angle or something, but that one just makes my skin crawl.

There were a couple times they mentioned a bad call, but then would say that ultimately we were even because the refs were bad on both ends.

Were we getting favorable whistles at all to you?

Maybe a couple toss ups, but sure seemed one-sided

For example, there were like 8 fouls called the 1H. For most of the half UK sat at 3 fouls. PJ had 2 of those. Flagrant on him was not fair

Agree - I mean there was NOTHING there. Zilch, in the context of how the game was being played

joke. joke. joke.SEC had better look into the joke calls on both sides and the worst one was the missed Florida lst second 3 no call

Refs got all up in the midst of the game...UT got some bad whistles as well....but the ones on UK were immense to take Reid and PJ Washington off the floor (Kyle Alexander is hardly a loss for UT).

But the bigger issue is college refs just love the constant off the ball stuff and teams that doe the theatrics just eat that kind of reffing up. Also, the constant charging calls by having a defender run up underneath a slasher from helpside defender is just a crap rule. That isn't charging when a dribble is just landing from jumping in the air....but again college refs eat up those calls like CHristmas presents.

In the end, UK doesn't play to the whistle under Cal. Our bigs challenge shots not slide up under dudes for charges. Our players don't flinch their heads back when a guy touches them (Andrew Harrison would be the one exception) to draw whistles. But other teams do and Grant Williwams is just a man on a mission to draw fouls.

The 4th one was actually legit, but the 5th one was an abomination. Williams is the most pampered cry-baby in the country. Pathetic that a dude his size has to resort to Duke-like flopping.

I will say that they did mention that they were really surprised by the PJ tech. Maybe they were just good at keeping the look unbiased?
