Vandergrift vandergriff, vandagrift…

It’s Vandagriff. I’ve seen so many misspellings of his name. He’s our QB of the future we should learn to at least spell his name correctly.
It is autocorrect that is causing a lot of it.

It has happened to me twice. I type V a n d e r g r i f f, and it changes it to Vandergrift.

Just did it again. Smart phones.....

Reminds me of this guy love it

What if we just refer to him as Big Ginger V!!!! 😁 😁 😁

Big red is our kinda guy .. checked out his social media yesterday ... he will be a big time favorite . I like him a bunch already .. Hunter , fisherman , rides horses , actually wears boots that might not be a prop ... but we are still saddled with an unmotivated fat coach .

I’ve spoken to alot of UGA people who say we have a keeper. But every nc state person I spoke to about Leary said the same. If I was using the eye test tho, Vandagriff wins.
I love Vandagriff. I hate that he wasn't able to showcase his talents playing most of the 2nd half today in the Orange Bowl. Stockton played decent for us but there's a reason BV was over Stockton.
I too thought Leary was a steal, but I thought he was 100% healthy.

Barring injury V is our starter no matter what. Since we have decided to get our QBs from the portal, instead of recruiting and developing them, Stoops HAS to play him .

Stoops assured BA that he would be given a fair chance at QB1 if he came back to UK.

Physically, he may have been.

But with two prior, season-ending, major injuries, his game seemed a little timid, at times.

Frankly, prior to the Gator Bowl, I did not know he had missed the 2020 Gator Bowl against UK because of a broken leg, I somehow linked that to the much later pectoral injury.

He has played a ton of college football at two programs that bowl every year, and the Gator Bowl this year was his first!!!!

Hmmm.

“There were times before I thought about coming back. Even when I left Tarleton State I thought about it but there was not that much interest from Kentucky then.”

Kentucky coach Mark Stoops has told Allen he will have a chance in spring practice to compete for the starting job even though UK has also a commitment from Georgia transfer Brock Vandagriff.

“That was a big factor to me. I just want to compete and be the best quarterback I can be,” Allen said. “So yes, I am going to compete for the starting job. That’s my goal.”

I will try to link the whole article but here is the excerpt from the article.

Must be a pay article. Won't let me copy the link. It is a Larry Vaught article from YourSportsEdge.com.

I can tell you this with 100% certainty, Vandagriff was not expecting to compete for the starting role no matter where he went and a major reason he chose UK. AU, Carolina and FSU made were after him pretty hard and had been for awhile. Maybe he wasn't told he was UK's guy, but that was his impression.
