Bronny James has had a pretty good summer. Has really filled out his body and is super athletic. Also a really good defender, improved his jumper and is an unselfish player. Bronny is a legit top 45 player

Unselfish player? He never even thought about passing the ball at any point in that entire clip.

He had one nice breakaway dunk in there, but other than that, I'm not seeing this great athletesism you speak of.

Also, it's a highlight reel, I hope you don't think his shooting has improved based on what you see in highlight reels.

He shot 43% at Peach Jam and there isn't many passes cuz it's a highlight tape. You don't see the athleticism? That's how I know you're just being a hater. The dunk at 1:20 is crazy athletic as is his block from behind at 2:03

To be fair, he didn't play awful, he just never played. Nobody saw him. He must have decided to just workout (which is fine) but he dropped due to that. He wasn't bad when he did play but he wasn't a top 20 player either. He's better than where he's ranked now too.

Cook and Evans still hanging around that 10 spot. 10 and 11. Love to hear your thoughts on Collier as well. Seems he has shot up to top 4 on every site. 1 on 24:7 and 2 on On 3, 4 on Rivals, 14 on ESPN.

I’ll definitely admit I was wrong on him. He never shouted top player to me but he has panned out.

The dunk def opened my eyes a bit, I have always seen him like most of that clip just a good finisher around the rim in a variety of layups but that dunk showed off he does have that extra gear.

Yes, I would think he should be ahead of Bronny but in my opinion it isn’t as egregious enough to say they lose all credibility.

Shepherd made bronny look like a great school player. I do think that is all hype in the media because he is definitely not ahead of Shepherd

You all need to remember these rankings aren’t who is better now. They are ranking prospects. Reed will be an outstanding college player and maybe an outstanding player for multiple years. However, his NBA prospects are not as high as many of you would like to believe. He can do it and I ultimately believe he will because he seems like a kid that will do whatever is asked of him. He is not a genetic freak though that makes him a can’t miss prospect

That's the problem with all of the recruiting sites IMHO - they really seem geared more toward NBA potential than college. Hence you get a Damion Collins ranked very high even though he really wasn't ready to play college ball in a major conference last year.

Sheppard at 44 is an absolute joke. Kid is a top 20 player in this class easily.

This didn't affect the composite numbers much, which is what you should go by.

You big Kentucky boosters are going to have to ante up to make it happen though as Wagner and Bradshaw like the others are going to want big time NIL deals.

Recruiting lists all vary for certain guys. It is what it is in that regard. Pretty impressive that UK already has some of these guys in the fold and are very much in the hunt for others. Cal and this staff are lightyears ahead of the previous staff.

Not naive a realist. Recruiting does matter but it doesn't always mean the number 1 or 2 class will win the title. Kentucky is proof of that. How many number 1 classes has Calipari had? How many titles? Point being I'd rather win a title than just "having the number 1 recruiting class "

Yeah, but my point is in this one and done era you need the best to contend. I realize that NIL and the Transfer Portal has helped create the team UK has currently but we could very well have another mass exodus after this season and will need another #1 class if we hope to contend next year.

I am hoping that this years team will be the model going forward, a good mix of experience with talent. I realize some of the guys maybe rated high by the recruiting services and don't always pan out in college. We shall see.
