Am I remembering this play correctly? Did I see a hail mary and no UofL receivers going deep? WTH happened there?

Thanks Mitch for not getting caught up in the moment and bringing that POS to Kentucky - you made the right hire.

But Louisville has much better facilities and is better than UK in every way. At least according to someone named doubledd last night.

To the OP - I think the answer is that Bolin realized that he would not have enough time to get everyone lined up, spike the ball and then either try a long FG or a hail mary....so he just decided to go Hail Mary and make that play the last play of the game and apparently the WRs didn't get the message.

I know it was crazy. There was one receiver that was anywhere near where the ball was thrown and 4 defenders. I didn't see where any other UL player was so they definitely didn't get the message on that play. They screwed themselves when the qb was trying to just throw it away. I thought it should have been intentional grounding but they called it a sack. I didn't realize it when it happened.

They ended up getting knocked out of field goal range and had no time left. They just ended up panicking and it showed. I have never seen a team have 3 straight end of game situations where they screwed up a chance to win or tie the game.

even funnier than the awful hail mary was when the TE made the long reception to set it up. Old boy had noone within 10 yards of him, but yet he takes a panic sharp turn rightward to head for the closest sideline. Why? To kill the clock, HELLO, you got a 1st down, clock will stop when you are tackled! Or hell, if he kept barreling downfield at full speed he might have punched it in.
